I saw an article about loneliness. And realized I’m who they are writing about to a degree. Fortunately, I have a partner. But as far as friends … it’s a sad story.

How does one make friends as an adult?

I don’t have a lot of patience with people. Slow to trust. Easily put off by new people and the words they use, behaviors they exhibit.

Generally speaking, I can’t relate with gay men who have a lot of gay male friends.

It feels very inauthentic to pretend. I think I need to just accept it and do my best with what I have, with those who put up with me.

Idk. I miss my sister and that has something to do with all of this.

your problem is you think if you communicate with clarity and earnestness that people will actually understand you
