1X1 PLOTS BASED ON G’S DISASTER OF A LOVE LIFE :

MISTAKES ? I MAKE THEM A LOT ! :  MUSE A moves to a new town  for a fresh start , where their cousin has agreed to let them stay with them until they’re back on their feet properly . the first night in a new town and MUSE A finds themselves out at a club , dancing and drinking . that’s when they meet MUSE B, and of course - the pair end up flirting and going back to MUSE B’S place . the next morning and MUSE A sneaks out whilst MUSE B  is still asleep . they go down to the local cafe and urgently text their cousin to come pick them up  ( ‘ surprise ! i’m in town a day early ! ‘ ) . MUSE A’S cousin comes to pick them up , happy to be reunited after years apart . however .. . MUSE A’S cousin ends up driving MUSE A right back to the house they just snuck out of this morning . MUSE B stands on the porch with a sheepish grin on their face . MUSE A just had a one night stand with ( and ran out on ) their cousin’s housemate . and by extension , MUSE A’S own new housemate, too .

BABY , GIVE ME ONE MORE NIGHT !  : MUSE A’S flight is delayed by hours , and it ends in them SPRINTING across the next airport in order to try and get to their connecting flight in time , only … to find out they’ve missed their flight . sitting at the gate is a wind-hair-swept , round-faced MUSE B. they look up to MUSE A and share a laugh . ‘ you missed your flight too , huh? ‘ they ask . MUSE A is STRESSED and exhausted , and sweaty now too ( ew  ) . they have no idea what to do in this situation . are they going to be trapped in this airport forever  ? the pair venture to the information desk together ( bc two lost ppl is better then one ), where it’s CONFIRMED they missed their connecting flights and . . there aren’t new ones until the next afternoon . the airport kindly offers to put MUSE A and MUSE B up in a hotel together for the night . both of them share a sly look and end up saying yes , because .. WHY NOT ? suddenly , they’re not so exhausted anymore . they’re in a WHOLE NEW COUNTRY for the next twelve hours , and can be ANYONE they want to be together . they end up bar hopping , and drinking until 4 am, and then , ultimately,  stumbling into bed together . they laugh together , kiss together , stare at the stars together . it’s a night worth REMEMBERING . a night of HAPPENSTANCE and pure coincidence . but also , the most fun either have spontaneously had in MONTHS . the next morning , though ? MUSE A is still on their flight back home to australia , and MUSE B is  still on their flight to backpack across THAILAND . both of them can’t help but linger at the airport , unable to stop themselves from thinking ‘ what if this was more then just one night ? ‘  ‘ what if we meet again ? ‘ 

UH HUH , I THINK I’M FALLING IN TOO CLOSE ! : MUSE A and MUSE B dated back in middle school for 7 months . it was a complete disaster of a relationship because ..  well , they were in middle school.  they WERE each other’s first kiss and first boyfriend / girlfriend , and MUSE A always reserved a special place for MUSE B in their heart . fast forward ten years and MUSE A hasn’t thought about MUSE B properly in years , and vice versa. one night , MUSE A is scrolling through tinder and who do they stumble across ? their middle school crush and first boyfriend/ girlfriend ever . MUSE A can’t help but feel intrigued and swipe right . turns out MUSE B felt the same , because suddenly the pair are a match all over again . they get to talking , and before they know it . . they’re spending nights texting each other , and spilling each others deepest darkest secrets . there’s something so easy and nonpressuring about having DATED so terribly before . maybe . . maybe second time CAN be the charm . 

WHY’D YOU ONLY EVER CALL ME WHEN YOU’RE HIGH ? : MUSE A frequents the local bar a lot with their friends , and often makes eyes at MUSE B . MUSE B is none the wiser ,  usually hanging out with their own friends , and barely aware of MUSE A  at all . until . .. one night , when they both bump into each other ordering drinks . MUSE B strikes up a conversation , and MUSE A finds themselves even more dazed and smitten by them . it’s like a switch has been flicked . the pair end up talking the entire night , right until the sun rises . they’re both drunk and MUSE B sighs into the crook of MUSE A’S neck ‘ don’t go , don’t go , i’ve never been this honest with anybody before ‘ . they end up kissing for hours outside, long after last-call from the bar . MUSE A feels themselves fall quick and hard for MUSE B . the next night , MUSE B finds MUSE A again at the bar . they strike up a conversation . talk all night. kiss for hours. rinse and repeat , rinse and repeat . MUSE A falls hard for MUSE B , and MUSE B seems to fall hard for MUSE A, too . the problem ? MUSE B only seems to care for MUSE A when they’re drunk . 

A RUSH AT THE BEGINNING ! : MUSE A and MUSE B are best friends and always have been . the kind of friends that have always had lingering glances , and hugs that last a second too long . one is always staring at the other when the other isn’t looking. they get along like a house on fire - full of banter and laughter , and inside jokes that everybody else eye-rolls at . MUSE B is constantly flitting between partners , they’re never single for longer then a couple of weeks . one night , after a particularly heinous breakup for MUSE B , MUSE A takes them out for drinks . halfway through the night , both are steadily drunk when MUSE B suddenly fixes MUSE A with a serious look . ‘ it’s you , you know ? i think it’s always been you .’ and just like that , their friendship has changed . 

ALMOST, ALMOST , ALMOST ! : MUSE A enters their uni class one day to find insanely attractive MUSE B lazily slumped over their desk . MUSE A does a double take,  then a triple take . they almost walk right into the professor , who looks far too amused with MUSE A’S obvious eye-fucking . the semester goes on , and MUSE A  finds themselves constantly paying more attention to quiet , mysterious , laidback MUSE B then the actual class itself . when the semester draws to a close , MUSE A decided to bite the bullet . they march right up to MUSE B and ask them out on a date . MUSE B blinks , then grins and says yes . and so it begins . they go on their first date together and immediately MUSE B is a lot louder outside of class then inside . they spend hours in a restaurant together , food gone cold , conversation flowing far too easily . MUSE B says more to MUSE A in one dinner then they did in an entire semester of class . MUSE B drives MUSE A home , and kisses them goodbye in their car . a week later and MUSE B has suggested a second date , then a third date . MUSE A  is over the moon . good things never last . just as the third date approaches , MUSE B’s music career suddenly kicks off the ground . suddenly , they’re an overnight sensation . they’re booking out gigs and tours , and travelling places . ‘ sorry to cancel our third date , i’ll make it up to you ‘ MUSE B promises MUSE A . but . that time never comes . the world sweeps MUSE B right off their feet , and around the country and world . MUSE A ends up watching from their computer screen as MUSE B performs on stages and get interviewed on the radio , wondering what could happen if one day MUSE B ever came back and remembered them . 

I COULD BE YOUR CRUSH , CRUSH , CRUSH ! : MUSE A meets MUSE B on tinder - and it’s a strict hookup only . MUSE B comes over and immediately , the pair get down to business . only . . it’s not as sexy and easy as it seems . they end up banging heads ,  clanking teeth , falling off the bed , ending out of rhythm and . .  ultimately ? in a ball of complete laughter together . a hookup has never gone SO wrong before . the pair end up falling asleep , naked , in each others arms - giving up on the sex , and instead talking about nothing and everything . a week later and MUSE B comes over again . this time , the hookup is a lot easier ( but still filled with laughter ) , and again - instead of leaving, MUSE B stays the night with MUSE A and the pair end up sleepily sharing secrets and their deepest secrets . next week ? the same thing happens . again , and again . week after week , MUSE A has never been in a relationship before or had anybody want to stay the night before . they’ve always thought of themselves as a commitment-phobe.  MUSE B changes everything. they’re just genuinely nice and funny . everything changes though , one night ,  when  MUSE B texts MUSE A ‘ shit . i don’t know when it happened exactly,  but ,  i  think  i like you a lot. ‘
