Mydei just wants to punch him. not like he can do that while you're in the teams screen, gushing over them both.
Mydei can't help but silently fume. (HE WAS YOUR BEST BOY. WHAT IN THE TITANS HAPPENED??)
As soon as you close the game though, he turns and grabs the Deliverer's lips with a tight grip. "Just shut up...they still use me just as much as you, Deliverer!" He hisses through his teeth with an irritated expression.
He has to quickly recoil when Phainon licks his hand though. Seems like Phainon has been taking inspiration from you shipping them both..

Which is why you've been farming jade's like crazy whenever you have the free time. Usually logging in after your work is over, you'd settle down onto the couch or a chair, a snack in hand and logging in impatiently.
You finished all the events.
You did the daily tasks.
Tried finishing any side quests for extra jade's.
You even spent all the Trailblaze Power on Phainon's materials and getting enough EXP materials to straight away level him up to the max.
Hell, you didn't gamble on the previous banner just to save up for Phainon's! (An achievement, really)
You were just so excited to get the man and add him to your teams.
Your excitement was even felt by the other characters that you own. Of course...some of them were used to your simping, others..not so much.
Aventurine is tired of your rambling, yet he can't help but find it endearing as well. It reminds him of whenever Topaz would tease him before he was pulled, since she could hear everything as one of your characters....
Jing Yuan can't help but think this Phainon is an interesting character. Thank Lan you're atleast not swooning over Blade...atleast this one seems to be a good person.
Aglea is so TIRED. Dear Titans...how much more much she listen to your pitiful endearments of the Deliverer? What does 'Pookie' even mean?! She doesn't express it though, a serene smile is all that's on her face...it might look a little tired if you squint hard enough.
And of course...the man himself, Paimon- no sorry, Phainon- was soo nervous.
He loves you already, just from hearing about you from those you've pulled.
Whenever he hears about you, his heart beats faster, stomach clenching and making him feel like curling around something (hopefully you, if he is able to find some way out of your device if possible), out of sheer excitement as the banner date draws nearer.
Both of you are there, waiting and watching, as the day finally arrives.
You update the game. And as you open it...both of you hold your breath as you open his banner.
(Some of your characters look worried as they hear muffled 'yes yes yes!' and silent cheering from you)
You saved up JUST enough to get him and his lightcone! Hopefully.
You pull on his banner first.
The first 20 pulls go by with nothing significant...
The next 30 with a few 4 stars you needed.
Finally, you see gold! You're both silently praying that it's Phainon...
And it's not. It's Welt.
You feel your heart drop and shatter.
You can't afford anymore pulls...you already got most of the jade's that you could get!
Maybe you can just...get him on the next banner, if there is one...?
So, you close the game, being busy with life..even if just deep down you feel dissapointed.
But it's not the end of your world.
'Why aren't you cheering...? Did something happen??'
Phainon can't hear the cheering that your characters described would usually happen when you got the person you wanted.
He can't feel a warm breeze washing over him.
He can't feel the imposing, warm stare the others could.
Nor the gentle strings controlling his body, as described by many of his friends.
He's worried. He looks over to Aglea with pleading eyes, wanting her to explain what happened. To explain why the sounds of the Express's doors opening, that he can hear near him- but not see, just stopped.
All she does is look at him with pity, and shake her head as she mutters to him, "They didn't pull you, Phainon. It is another one...one of the Outlanders, named 'Welt Yang'. And the player...they're leaving your banner."
Hold on.
This can't be happening.
Why are you suddenly stopping? Didn't you say you'd do ANYTHING to get him home?
These thoughts run through his mind as he stands frozen, staring at the starless sky in what can only be described as sinking despair.
He continues standing there until hours later, desperately grasping at whatever little hope there is left, that you might come back.
That you won't leave him.
But as the first rays of the sun rises past the horizon, he really can't help but shed a few tears, as the light falls over his eyes.
You left...you really stopped. Why...?
Why'd you leave?? He was going to be perfect for you! He was so...so happy to think that you'd add him to your main team, to explore and talk nonsensical topics to him that he couldn't understand...!
To be yours and only yours! Your puppet, your beloved, yours, yours, yours...!
But you left and he feels weak. He feels lost.
His knees buckle with the weight of his anguish. He can't stop the tears from falling to the ground...one hand gripping his outfit right over his chest, as if trying to pull out his heart to present it to you.
He just wanted to be yours.
And not even such a wish could be granted to him.
And while this loss is not the end of your world, it feels like the end of his.

Unlike the previous times where he'd have to get close to one of your 'characters' to be able to hear you, he could hear your voice clear now.
"Damn...do I even have enough pulls for his lightcone..?"
Lighrcones? He's heard the trailblazer mention it before! He wonders if his lightcone looks like him...or maybe even have Cyrene in it.
He hopes that you'll try to get it for him.
He's heard you lament over Castorice's 'build'. Or the time he heard you loudly begging some of his teammates to deal more damage.
He wants to fight alongside you. He'll make sure to defeat any enemy quickly!
He wants to make you proud.
He's watching the night sky, eyes trailing over the cosmos as he admires it, as you once described. He remembers your description of him.
Like a bright sun destined to die out after going through transformations. A brilliant star that brings light to people's eyes.
A star.
He hopes that he can bring a light to your eyes too.
But for now all he can do is try his best to come home to you. Even if it involves a little foul play.
He knows that you usually only get his friends and not their lightcones, but he wants to make you happy.
It can't be that hard right...?
Just minutes later he could see gold stars line the sky in his peripheral vision. He can't tell if your screaming if bad or good.
But he immediately brightens up when he hears cheering- and a foreign but pleasant sensation wash over him.
He knows this! He's heard Mydei and Anaxagoras tell him about this! The feeling of being washed over by a cool breeze, and warmth as if being enveloped by a friends hug.
He almost cries right then and there.
If only you could see his utter joy at still having a companion by his side, watching him go through his journey without fear of being harmed.
He can almost hear Anaxa scolding him though...maybe he shouldn't have brought his lightcone with him when he was pulled 4 times in just 20 pulls.
He deserves it though. Now, he could spend time exploring the other planets you've been to. He's so excited to visit the places you like!
He can talk to the trailblazers on the Astral Express, since he got his normal form back.
He can admire sights he's never seen before, without worrying about his duty as a Chrysos Heir while under your control.
He can finally be happy, without losing in return.

He was waiting for this.
Phainon has heard about this before. About his friends being 'pulled' and bring able to see a so-called 'player'.
He could see it in the way the outlanders from the Astral Express sometimes talked about them in a fond tone.
In the way he could sometimes hear faint music whenever he went near his friends who had been 'pulled'.
In the way they sometimes moved mechanically. Like puppets to a higher order.
He wanted to experience it too.
The warmth that Hyacine would describe, something unlike the sun's warmth.
The laughter that Tribbie would let out before telling him of your commentary during battles. A laughter so silly it was almost foreign.
The embarrassment Mydei would have on his face when he heard you simping over him. The red ears that Phainon himself couldn't believe his eyes when he saw it.
The subtle intrigue on Anaxa(goras) face as he listened to a voice that Phainon couldn't fathom.
The way Aglea's eyes relaxed just a little bit when she moved like flowing silk during a battle. A weary but accepting resignation, as if relieved for a small break.
The tiny spark of happiness Castorice would sometimes have in her expression, as she walked alone but accompanied without fear for the first time.
The glint of mischief Cipher had, as she darted around or swayed lazily, a grin on her face.
And now Phainon could have that too. As he stared up at the sky, his expression pleading.
Doesn't he deserve it too, player? After all he's been through?
I'm sorry if this is a little out of character, I didn't finish many parts of hsr yet. Some of these headcannons might seem OOC, do please forgive me. 😭
But here's my thoughts on how the characters of self aware hsr reacts to the Player and them rambling abt lore or sum crazy theory.
Bronya would probably be sitting in her office or standing idly in the battle when you started your rambling.
She would be VERY confused (and concerned if its FNAF)...though she'd also probably try to learn or mentally note what kind of lore you're rambling about.
Seele would be MADD if she hears about what Afton did, I just know it 😭. She'd be passionately agreeing mentally if you start rambling about your hate for him or sm. (She might attack harder in battles while pretending the IPC npc's are Afton, lmao).
Pela would LOVE to hear abt regular lore or whole ass stories...we all know her love for that series in game, so I don't doubt she'd be listening intently as you ramble (if she doesn't have work, that is.)
Gepard....sweet, poor Gepard. Lmao imagine you're rambling about genshin lore or honkai impact. Poor guy would be so concerned if he heard about Diluc and Kaeya's relationship. But he'd also enjoy you rambling about the nicer and calmer parts of the quests. (Probably ends up visiting Serval, just to subtly try to reassure himself that him and Serval won't ever be on bad terms, after hearing about Kaeya and Diluc lmao)
Serval would also like hearing about lore while she works in the shop! Especially if it's about music or anything similar to Stellarons, she'd be fiddling with something while listening to your voice while you talk about music (She'd be interested if she hears about Xinyan- since both of them have guitars)
Lynx would be camping outside while she listens to you. She likes hearing about relics or the adventures of the characters you watch (Especially if you like to talk about Dungeon Meshi or animes with adventuring like me lmao). I feel like she would like more calm lore rather than horror or something else.
Sampo IS FUCKING LOCKED IN. As soon as he hears ANYTHING about business or scamming people, he. Is. Listening. Bro is furiously writing notes in his lil' heart shaped notepad with a snake themed pen he got from Natasha or stole.(I just know he has one, I JUST KNOW).
Natasha is horrified...if you tend to talk about more medical horror or horror in general. Imagine she hears about Dottore or the MLP Infection au, girl is going to be so concerned 😭. She'd be extra vigilant for any diseases in her patients from then on.
Hook is a certified ADVENTURER at heart! She would love to listen to Pokemon or more lighthearted lore about fun characters! Girl would draw about it, and make up her own adventures based on what you ramble about. She doesnt like horror though. (She'd probably try to search for Klee to make her join her little gang lmao, until Natasha tells her rhat Klee isn't in HSR)
Clara...I don't know how to describe her (I'm sorry 😭). She would love hearing about the Golden Archipelago quest in Genshin, or anything remotely fairytale like or adventurous. She'd probably ask Svarog if he could make something similar to Dodoco or something like Amber's puppet. She's interested in hearing about any creative inventions from any anime or game you've seen.

What if the characters, who are important or noticeable people in the storyline, can hear us? Can you imagine how TIRED or invested they'd be?
