I have to say that it's a little bit odd for me seeing people fight over that painting Klaus gave Cami. It feels like a game made for fans. I don’t think it’s some super confusing artwork(though he used more colors). The elements that make up this painting references the night that brought them together: the nighttime, art-lined street, jazz music, and the back of a girl wearing a dress with a jacket,in tall boots. And Klaus never forgot any of those details for the rest of his life.
Some people argue that Klaus walked over to her only because she reminded him of Caroline.how?don't tell me bc she is blonde.Klaus had already seen Cami twice before they mused about art. She wore the exact same outfit, and he spotted her from the balcony the second time and instantly recognized she was the bartender at Rousseau’s.If he wanted to know her bc she reminded him of Caroline, why didn’t he call off his bet with Marcel? And he easily shifted his focus over to Elijah, yet he grew far stronger interest in this girl once he realized she won the bet and stood in front of a painting that draws him in but never appeals to Caroline.
But I actually have a headcanon about this painting. The scene looks much more like a street than a square. So was he imagining Cami walking toward Jackson Square from Frenchmen Street? Was he wondering what Cami’s life was like before they met?
