When people used to ask me, “what came first, the color orange or the fruit?” I always thought there was no answer other than color, because I took it so literally. Like, of course the color would be first, it’s a color! The sun is orange, so are flowers, and animals, and coral, and literally so many things; and whenever I saw a video saying “the fruit came first!” I would think they’re stupid because how would that be possible?

Turns out they were talking about which got named first, and in fact, the fruit was named first before it was a color.
