The SFOTH sword visions are always negative visions of the future. Or maybe, just visions of the future that make their sword wielders feel distress.
Player is from the future and has traveled back into the past.
If Player had visions, what if they were memories of their time period? Because their time period is from the future. Happy memories, perhaps? Memories that make them miss their time more and more, every near death experience on their adventure with a happy memory from their own time making them more desperate to get back. They seem deeply lost in thought sometimes, eyes far away, not in the present. One day, they reach their breaking point.
Alternatively, it's just stupidly annoying bad memories. Like every time you solve a really hard puzzle, you remember how everyone stared at you while you stuttered over a speech. Imagine you're about to deal the final hit to the final boss and you're feeling pretty proud of yourself, but then that time you called your teacher "Mom" flashes before your mind.

For Deltarune, I think realistically speaking if she were my peer I'd want to be Noelle's friend. I think Susie would be a super cool friend. But if I didn't know the events of the game, I'd probably stay far away from her based on how she acted pre and during Chapter 1.

Heyy so I was in some kind of semi-writing mood, wanted to get back into writing, and made this haha don't ask. Physical affection headcanons for the block tales cast. I think most of this is hugging? Can be interpreted as platonic or romantic (probably not romantic for anyone who's married or an animal sorry). These are all written under the assumption that you don’t mind and/or like physical touch. All written before demo 5 came out.
Griefer. If he knows you, he’ll punch you in the shoulder, wrap an arm around you, hug you, all of that. He’ll noogie you if you’re shorter than him. But he’s an awkward mess if you try to do any of it back to him. Especially hugs. He just won’t know how to respond. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t like it though. I imagine his mom used to hold him all the time when he was little, even if it made him groan and tell her to stop. Mayor Thaniyel would do the same if he wasn’t busy all the time, so there is some distance there.
Noobador. You’re getting your hair (or head?) ruffled. Maybe there was a time when he was on okay terms with his sibling, and he’d roughhouse with them all the time. He’s definitely fought with his family for fun or not for fun before, and he’s a whole luchador. This means he’s used to it and being physical feels perfectly normal for him, whether on the receiving or giving end. He’s open to hugs, fist bumps, elbow jabs, anything. Anything you do, he’ll do back to you. Dealing with Red and Blue has made him prepared for anything. He also won’t hesitate to swat you (playfully) if you’re doing too much tomfoolery. And it WILL hurt. So be careful.
Kitchen Wizard. He despises physical affection and will be very uncomfortable if you try anything. He’ll say it’s for sanitary reasons, but really he just doesn’t like being touched. It’s nothing personal. But if you really look like you need it and you two are very close, he’ll let you hug him.
Cruel King. If he was royalty his whole life, I imagine he hasn’t been held or touched much affectionately because it’s against the rules. His parents would have been to busy to spend time with him, so outside of his private tutor and a few friends here and there he was rather isolated. He won’t know exactly what to do if you try to grab or hug him in any way at first. But he’ll try his best. He’ll always try his best to comfort you if you need it. After all, he knows how it feels to want to be close with someone but never being able to. Alternatively, if he wasn’t royalty his whole life, I still headcanon him as being awkward because his time with the ice dagger’s made him isolated for a while. Just more knowledgeable on how to react.
Player. They’re kind of a wild card since they don’t really have a set personality in-game. But I imagine they’re neutral to physical affection. They won’t hesitate to high-five you after battle or anything, but they’re only going to do whatever you want to do with them. They don’t initiate. All around open to it, but not really wanting it. For a brief period of time after demo 3, they’re rather… slow to respond to anything you do. But they slowly become more open to it eventually.
Kyoko. If you guys are close with each other, she won’t hesitate to be physical. She’ll hug you when she’s excited or you two are celebrating something and tap you on the shoulder to show you something cool she’s found. She’s also dragging you by the hand to show you the sights, maybe helping carry you if you’re tired (you better carry her back too, though!). Anything you do with her is fine too.
Calypso. Mostly the same as Kyoko, but it takes a longer time for her to feel comfortable enough to drag you around or hug you. If she doesn’t know you that well, she won’t really do anything with you. But if she does feel comfortable with you, oh boy. When getting dragged around, you’re getting your arm ripped off or when hugging, your lungs are getting crushed if she’s excited about anything. She can also elbow you hard enough to break a hole in the wall if you try that with her. I say this because Kyoko called her “that crazy sister of mine” in demo 3 and one of the ways I’m interpreting that is this.
Mayor Thaniyel. He’s open to a hug or two if you want. A firm handshake for business. Any more than that, it’s 50/50. He’s more open to physical affection with family than he is with anyone else.
Mrs Thaniyel. She’s open to hugs, as a greeting. Doesn’t really care for or want to do much else otherwise. But she’s very open to physical affection with her family, the whole list from cheek pinching to forehead kisses and hugs that last a little too long.
Mayor Monty. You’re getting patted on the shoulder, elbow jabbed a little. Maybe he’ll ruffle your hair if you’re younger than him and you two are close. You’re also free to do it back to him.
Kamilla. You’re getting hugged to hell and back.
Captain Trotter. He’s always patting you on the back or shoulder for a job well done. Sometimes he’ll do it a little too hard and apologize. As long as you tell him what you’re going to do, he’s open to any type of physical affection.
Temple Guardian. You’re getting forehead flicked, but you might die. They’re open to pats and handshakes, though you might have to be rougher than with other humans if you want them to feel anything because they’re made of stone.
The Ancients. They don’t do physical affection. Maybe if they’ve received a particularly good sacrifice and you really want to, they’ll try to give you a very light physical pat or an air hug. But anything else might kill you, so…
The Great Flocci. He’ll hold you gently in his palm and you’re fine to hug one of his fingers. Maybe. Don’t count on it. He’ll also “slap” you lightly on the back or summon a dummy for you to mess around with if you really want to do anything. He’s not a shapeshifter, so he’s worried about hurting you.
Tutorial Terry. If you’re not family or Player, he will kill you. Matter of fact, if it's Player, he'll kill them too.
Supreme Mosquito. Not physically affectionate. She won't suck your blood if you two are good friends or anything, so that's nice. But if you try slapping her, she will take it very negatively because it's like swatting a mosquito.
Supreme Ant. "BOW FIRST, PEASANT!" (doesn't really care as long as you know each other and you give her the respect she deserves).
Komodo Dragon. She'll curl her tail around you protectively like you're one of her babies but she is an animal on all fours, so she can't do much else. When she's feeling stressed, you're free to pet her.
Mysterious Figure. Handshakes, fist bumps, high-fives. Nothing more than that.

I found Block Tales by doom-scrolling roblox looking for something playable.
I normally play solo. I prided myself in beating all demos up to demo 3 solo and all hard mode demos on my own at first. But someone carried me through demo 4 upon release. Man, I hope we can play together again despite the chat update when demo 5 releases. I'll also play in a group if friends join. And they're the ones who carry if I even want to consider beating pit 49 or Finn again.
Griefer's my favorite pivotal NPC.
Is Kyoko a background NPC? Kyoko is my favorite if so. Cluemer if she's not a background npc.
If I had to choose a least favorite character, it'd be Finn McCool. Not because I don't like him as a character but because his power makes no sense in comparison to the Ancients and his lackeys are the reason he's so powerful anyways.
Player is the most relatable. Cuz they're the self insert lol (I and the whole fandom will collectively ignore that for good reason).
My favorite Block Tales enemy is Griefer. Only as a character. Despised fighting him because I kept dying and would've despised him as a whole too. I don't know what happened.
My least favorite enemy is Finn McCool. Or Captain Trotters in pit 49 if that counts. edit: i change my answer to megaphone man when he's near anyone else at all.
I can't beat anyone's ass T_T maybe one of the background NPCs?? The one who slipped on ice? Maybe our clumsiness would make it an equal fight where I could narrowly defeat them with luck? Or any kid character who isn't Red or Blue maybe. Wouldn't count on it.
The Ancients would beat my ass the hardest.
Griefer is my favorite summon. But really, Cruel King is much better gameplay wise.
My favorite item is pita when there's hummus.
My favorite card is Grie- launcher card until they nerf it in the next update. RIP sword mains, now RIP launcher mains.
In group gameplay, I'm offense with a small hint of support in the form of a summon, a feel fine, max deep focuses, or a medkit/egg if a teammate dies before me.
The story is something I love about the game.
Lack of replayability is something I hate about the game, though that's kinda expected with these kinds of games.
My hope for chapter 5 is more lore development. Maybe knowing Shedletsky/Telamon's deal. I'm hyped to learn more about the factions and to see them in a story.
The higher difficulty is my main concern for chapter 5. But it's not fun with zero challenge, right? haha..
If I could change something about the game, it'd be to give dialogue options an effect on the ending. Or at least more different responses to the dialogue you chose.
Out of every character, I'm wearing Calypso's outfit. I always thought she had drip.
Writing Player as a jerk? The good thing about Player is that they are a self-insert, so they have just enough different responses to npcs in the game for some canon evidence of Player being a jerk.
Disclaimer: All of this is just looking too deep into silly jokes in the game. Don’t take any of this seriously. But please feel free to comment ideas ;p
One of the options upon waking up in Terry’s bed is to say “How about I kill you?” And proceeding to attempt to kill Terry. Ignoring that it’s just a humorous option for a badge, we could look too deep into it and say it’s because Player recognizes this guy as the reason they’re suddenly stuck in the past.
Remember, Player can blow up the prison basement’s sleeping knight in demo 1 and zero dialogue will talk about it. The guard will just be missing in demo 3. Which means the devs didn’t forget about him. Player can also leave Jim to die, and you know how people important to Player show up in the mindscape backgrounds? Jim doesn’t. Granted, he’s not a major character but still. On a less related note, why’s there a Jim and Kitchen Wizard ghost but not a knight ghost? Telamon did not give a dang lol. No Cruel King ghost might be because he’s stuck in the dagger.
Player could also have bowed to Supreme Ant, but did they? Noooo. They’d rather throw hands instead.
On the train, there’s an npc called Fearchew who says he’s learning to become a wizard, making him a big deal. He asks if that makes him sound cool, and Player can only say “yeah.” Now you can argue this makes them at least somewhat kind, but since this is a jerk Player post, I offer you a counterargument: Would you deny someone is cool in public out in broad daylight when the person doesn’t seem uncool at all? I don’t think so. Either that or Player likes wizards.
Also start demo 4 in the docks, Player will not help Slippery Joe get up. There’s also possibly something to be said about the dialogue choices Player had after defeating the Captain Trotter’s pirates after a puzzle or something but I can’t remember them right now, so..
