Even though he couldn’t stand human food he still conquered his fear of the horrible smell and found something useful in the fridge. While she showered the hybrid hummed to himself to keep his spirit up while he prepared a rather fancy dish for her. It was good practice and he had been advancing since the first day he cooked something for Mandy - now it was very eatable and kinda tasty - he thought, even though he only had words to prove his skills. Words that would no longer be spoken by the girl of his dreams. The water from the shower stopped right in time for Theo to place her meal on the living room table. Even though he had no idea if she would like it he was proud to have served her a meal none the less.

“If it isn’t tasty I’ll run down to that noodle place and bring you  something good. Seriously, be honest and harsh. I want to improve.”

{{ ➴ } —— “You made this from scratch?”

Eyes lit with surprise, leaving the blonde speechless while staring at the offered meal. Still wearing just a towel, she blushed before further analyzing the plate to pass some sort of judgment before digging in. “It looks delicious, Theodor. I’m just gonna go get dressed.” Angelika excused herself, rushing to the bathroom with the clothes she had picked — which reminded her that she desperately needed to shop for some more pieces to wear. Especially if she was about to start applying for available jobs in the area and get a place of her own. As she returned, a smile was still present before she seated herself on the couch/her bed, eager to taste the food. “So, what are the plans for today?” She offered some smalltalk to cover up her little munching sounds, her stomach hungrier than what she first imagined.

“…Maybe. No, I just need to be alone for half an hour.”

The hybrid smiled calmly and slightly apologetic towards her for a moment before he walked over to the kitchen to keep himself busy. A long look out the window and onto the forest on the outskirts of the city calmed him down.

“I’ll make some snacks while you’re showering. Want anything special?”

{{ ➴ } —— “You don’t have to make anything for me, you know that.”

She knew how grossed out he was with human food, and was therefore not going to request anything in particular. With a soft smile, she went to shower and leave him to his company (which he enjoyed so much). Once standing beneath the steaming water, Angelica finally allowed a minor breakdown to wash over her as she too needed a moment alone. It only lasted a mere minute or two, before she once again pulled herself together; like she had always done. Finally she exited the bathroom, her body wrapped up in a blue towel as she navigated to the sofa where all her clothes were. Even though she had been staying with him for weeks, she still slept on his couch like some random friend crashing his place.

Theodor sighed silently at her comment about saving water, he was not in the mood for games nor witty comments. Green hues focused on her for a long moment before it was possible to hear his husky voice;

“I showered this morning; I’m good, thanks.”

{{ ➴ } —— “Are you going to be this grumpy all the time?”

A halfhearted smile hoped to at least brighten his mood; she was only joking after all. They had yet to truthfully discuss their current issues — well, HIS issues. Maybe now was their time to really sit down and talk about their future, whether he wanted her in it or not.

“You did? Thank you.” The hybrid smiled at her - it was nice having a friend like Angelika. Theodor sipped on his blood bag as he sat down in the couch. The comforting silence in the room made it possible to hear the raindrops smash against the window. The hybrid closed his eyes for a minute or so.

“ You want a drink or something?”

{{ ➴ } —— “Nah, I’m fine. I was thinking about taking a                   shower, but judging by the weather I could                   basically just walk outside and save water.”

She joked and smiled at him, hoping his mood would lighten a bit. She didn’t mind the rain at all, but she figured it would be best to shower beneath something a bit warmer. She didn’t know about him, but she could actually get sick from time to time. “Of course, there are other ways of saving water, too.”

They played a little trial round at first, making sure they both played after the same rules. Then, while they were playing Theo thought about whether to let her win or not, when the hybrid realized that’s what he would do for Mandy he decided to give it his all. “Let’s do it a bit more interesting. If you lose you’ll have to find yourself a job within the next week.”

{{ ➴ } —— “A job? What would I apply for? Hey, maybe your place                   needs more people to work for them?”

Angelica pondered as to why he would suggest such a thing, realizing he must want to get rid of her somehow. The blonde lowered her neat shoulders before locking eyes with him again; “And if I win, you’ll take me on a date.” That seemed only fair, in her opinion. She didn’t really expect much, but she had to have some fun with it too.

“Thank you, Angie. They look delicious.”

These small figures shaped out of a dried heart seemed surprisingly appealing to the hybrid. Theo smiled thankfully as he tasted one of them - it tasted like a dried heart. The young man ran a hand through his white hair while he explained the rules of the game; it wasn’t that complicated. “Now, I’m going to crush your ass..!” Theodor grinned.

{{ ➴ } —— “Anything for you, right? I know you’ve been stressing, so.”

She had missed cooking, and seeing as Theo didn’t eat anything normal, she had to be inventive and more original in her approach. It made her happy to see him enjoy it as much; he even seemed more energetic on the second! “Riiight, we’ll see about that.” Angelika said mockingly before returning that gin of his. She had some tricks up her sleeve as well, of course.

Sancti’s eyes narrowed, but not enough for her to notice. This would be a bit more tricky than the demon had hoped for. Still, he was determined to succeed. “Do not think this is the end, little hunter.” The demon had to find the hybrid when he was out for a walk.

{{ ➴ } —— “The end of what, exactly? Are you threatening                    me for looking after him, now?”

The blonde let out a short laugh before crossing her arms, not understanding the fuzz at all. “If I marry him myself, will THAT leave you others out of the picture? Or will you still have the nerve to show up like this?” Angelika could not hide the frustration any longer, even if she rarely lost her temper anywhere.

“Oh, usually no one. Just different people now and then.”

Sometimes people he knew actually came to hang out, and it was nice. Theodor preferred to go out and have some fun instead - he was tired of staying in his apartment all the time. Plus it actually gave the hybrid a reason to go out and have fun. “I’ll teach you how to play. Yeah, this will be awesome.”

Angelika found some dried heart cut into small figures which she had made for him with some of his leftovers the other night. For herself, some popcorn was enough to keep her satisfied. She brought it all out to the living room where the game awaited; the plate with bits of heart placed on his side with a smile. “I hope you will like them. I made it just for you.” A pleasant but anticipating grin wearing her as she sat down across him, ready to learn and — most of all, have FUN.

“Well that wasn’t embarrassing at all…”

It was nice to know she didn’t judge him too much, and it was strange to do so many normal things - with Mandy they somehow ended up in bed (or anywhere else to be honest) one way or another; not that it bothered him a bit. Theo smiled awkwardly for a moment; “Let’s play a board game! I’m sure that will be fun!”

{{ ➴ } —— “Sure, we could do that. I’ll fix the snacks.”

Even if she was not used to ‘having fun’, Angelika felt he did a great job at introducing new things they could do that she’d never think of herself. Also, it felt nice to help him do some of the things he had not done in a while. “Who do you usually play with?”

“ I couldn’t sleep, so I just went for a run.” It hadn’t really been much of a run as he ended up staying outside Mandy’s home for a few hours, just thinking about the two of them and wondering if they would ever be as close as they once were. Theo made way for the kitchen to find a bag of blood, even though he was hungry enough to eat a brain or two.

“What did you do? You haven’t broken anything, I hope?”

Angelika sat up from her temporary bed, brushing a hand through her curly hair; part of her thought he was lying, but it was none of her business, after all. “I cleaned the kitchen for you, though. A ‘thanks’ would be appreciated.” A playful smile spread on her lips before yawning quietly.

Angelika had gotten used to sleeping on his couch, even though she started missing the comforts of a bed. At least they had each other’s company — usually. The hybrid had no memory of Theodor returning the prior night, which was unusual for him. She was woken up by sounds of movement in the apartment, slowly opening her eyes only to see Theo in his righteous element; his own home.
