Everything will be in my current style, with unblended lines of colour and a messy brush. Also, please be aware that my style tends to look best with darker and more muted colour schemes with only a few bright accents- I can still do brighter colours, it just may not look quite as sharp!

Please provide photo references for anything that you need to look a specific way- things like faceclaims, hairstyles, clothing, poses, etc. While I can work from a description alone, the more references you give me the more accurate I can make the final picture.

At 40, Franz Kafka (1883-1924), who never married and had no children, walked through the park in Berlin when he met a girl who was crying because she had lost her favourite doll. She and Kafka searched for the doll unsuccessfully. Kafka told her to meet him there the next day and they would come back to look for her.

The next day, when they had not yet found the doll, Kafka gave the girl a letter “written” by the doll saying “please don’t cry. I took a trip to see the world. I will write to you about my adventures.”

Thus began a story which continued until the end of Kafka’s life.

During their meetings, Kafka read the letters of the doll carefully written with adventures and conversations that the girl found adorable.

Finally, Kafka brought back the doll (he bought one) that had returned. “It doesn’t look like my doll at all,“ said the girl.

Kafka handed her another letter in which the doll wrote: “my travels have changed me.” the little girl hugged the new doll and brought her happy home.

A year later Kafka died. Many years later, the now-adult girl found a letter inside the doll. In the tiny letter signed by Kafka it was written:

“Everything you love will probably be lost, but in the end, love will return in another way.”

Some modern Christians are still so fucking butthurt about gnostics. Like bitch it was the second century. Is one thousand nine hundred years really too soon? "Oh they were like pseudo-Christians they obviously weren't real Christians, even though some of them claimed to be" wow do I have some news for you about modern Christians vis a vis believing everything you think is necessary to be a real Christian

I think the reason modern Christian sources are often so weirdly hateful towards early gnostics, a group that literally does not exist anymore (I know modern gnostics exist but it doesn't have continuity, it's a different group), is because otherwise their audiences would start questioning things. "Well why do I have to believe everything in Revelations is divinely inspired but the Shepherd of Hermas isn't? Why do I have to ignore all of these books that early Christians read in church and saw as holy scripture? Why do I have to trust that scholars are sure Thomas didn't really write that gospel, but I have to ignore the same scholars saying that Paul didn't really write this letter? Who added those lines into the Bible that weren't there in the earlier texts, and why are they still in my Bible if the divinely inspired writer didn't really write them?" And when people start thinking critically about these things, well, they start questioning whether your authority over their religion should be absolute, or if you even know what you're talking about

My life is ruled by the feeling that things have changed and will never be able to be fixed. It's been smashed, it's been ground to dust, it's been turned so thoroughly into nothing that it can never hope to return to the way it was. Even the smallest, most inconsequential thing and I feel it gnawing at me, filling me with that dread of it can never go back.

I don't know how to express it. I don't know how to get sympathy. I tell people I'm feeling bad, I tell them why, but it's impossible to convey how deeply destabilized and detached from reality I feel.

I can tell them how it's affecting me- I can tell them I've had to implement the cutting coping strategies I haven't had to use for over 5 years, I can tell them I cried unprompted for the first time since I started testosterone, I can tell them that when I said I'd die if I didn't find a replacement for this in my life I was recounting exactly how I felt. I know all I'd get is confusion, maybe derision.

Most of all it feels isolating. I always feel, to some extent, like nobody can ever or will ever understand me. But this just makes it worse. Feeling like if I even dared to talk about this thing I'm experiencing I'd be laughed at, or worse, get that generic "that sucks" response from somebody who can't understand how it feels. I hate so much to be that person who cries about how nobody really gets them, but god almighty it really feels that way sometimes.
