"but he's gorgeous and a family friend and coming back to town this weekend, so i can finally show him i'm no longer that awkward fifteen year old he met years ago."

trent knew he was neglecting them some, but it wasn’t his fault. it wasn’t his intention to make them feel this way, he loved both of them and would never do anything to hurt them. it was just hard trying to get them to understand the life he was so accustomed to, “i know i wished i was there.” he answered alicia before alyssa could, giving them both the most pitiful eyes letting them know that he was beat up about this too. 

alyssa knew she could be stubborn and overact about certain things, but this was something she was certain she wasn’t. but with getting no back up from alicia, suddenly she was upset with the both of them. “maybe i should just go home. you’d probably both be happier without me here causing all this drama.” she knew she was probably being over dramatic, but she felt really hurt over how she’d been treated. she wasn’t used to trent ignoring her and alicia taking his side.

alicia couldn't help but softly smiling back at trent as he looked at the both of them, and her own eyes glanced from him to alyssa across from her only to be downcasted to see her still disappointed with the whole situation. "aw, lys, don't say that!!" she immediately exclaimed, moving to sit next to the female and wrap her arms around her girlfriend's frame. she pouted at her, sending her sad puppy dog eyes in the process--maybe being cute would appease this whole thing.. maybe. "trent and i both want you here, babe. and and trent will be free tomorrow, so then we can all finally go on a date together--right, trent?" her eyes immediately gazed up at the blonde, silently begging him to agree with her statement.
