3/8/24: African dwarf frogs

I saw some of these cuties at my LFS when getting the guppies, thought about it for a night, and went back for them the next day (40 min drive and all). I haven't had any of these little guys for years but I'm so glad I got them (3 total - 1 blonde!). I've been so incredibly depressed and these guys no joke have really saved me these last weeks. Feeding them by hand gets me out of my depression bed lair and makes me so happy. They're very goofy and adorable (and pose better for photos than my fish).

3/7/24: Guppies!

Got 5 guppies from my favorite LFS. Finally! I've wanted guppies again since I got back into the hobby last summer. They're one of my absolute favorite fish - so lively and adorable!

Also got 1 assassin snail to deal with some bladder snails (the population isn't too large, but they stress me a bit haha)

2/20/24: Platies!

Finally finished cycling and setting up the 20 gal. Got 4 beautiful platies to start on my birthday! Birthday fish!

2/3/24 new 20 gal log

i've been planning on setting up a 20 gal for guppies for a while, and it has finally come to fritution! ive been soaking the malaysian and spider driftwoods for about a week in hot water, and added them to the tank today and filled it up. i'm running through a 5% solution of hydrogen peroxide to sanitize everything (no filter cartridges) as this tank and equipment has been used before. in about 48 hrs i will drain quite a bit of the water, add the sponge filter, substrate, and hob filter cartridge and start cycling. exciting stuff!

1/11/24 endler nano tank updates

the tank has been thriving for several months now. i moved the aquarium home for winter break and back to my uni apartment and sadly last one little guy to the shock of the move. the remaining are doing well and i drove quite far yesterday to get 4 new endlers livebearers to the tank. everyone is getting along swimmingly! gary my nerite snail is vibing per usual.

1/10/24: new ghost shrimp aquarium

i set up my old 3 gallon aquarium to house some ghost shrimp. i used leftover anubias bateri alongside shrimp driftwood, black slate, and bonsai driftwood i got from a local pet store in nocal. bought 7 ghost shrimp from petsmart and enjoying watching the little guys explore their new home!
