In an interview with a Russian publication in 2000, Till and Ollie were asked about a small conflict that occurred between Rammstein and Ozzy Osbourne. What happened between you and Ozzy Osbourne? They say he got really pissed when it turned out you were ahead of him in the concerts performances ratings?Till: He just mistook us for his ‘support band’. In fact, it happened at a rock festival (Rock am Ring, 31.05.1998), it cannot have a ‘highlight of the program’, as well as second-class groups. I’m sure Ozzy knew this very well, but for some reason then no one dared to remind him of the idea of democracy. It turned out that our show was a little more weighty and pompous than his, so dad got mad.And that’s all?Olli: Not really. What happened next was even more ridiculous. So one of our electricians forgot to remove the cord hanging over the stage. Just a cord that was not connected to anything at all. During’s Ozzy’s part, this harmless cord fell off, and nothing happened, just a weightless cord falling…Till and I were watching from behind the scenes, and suddenly on us, like a cobra, Sharon rushed and started squealing! According to her version we wanted to ruin the Osbourne show this way. Here you go! Yes, we were delighted with the performance of ‘Papa Ozzy’, Rammstein recognized his guitarist as the best in our entire booth!
Not all are against Till, but as always, the loudest voices dominate. Those who still love the band as a whole or argue calmly get drowned out. Sadly, haters often struggle with nuance and the simple concept of grey areas. I tried reasoning with some bloggers, but they just missed my point and threw the you must be a Till stan card at me, which is honestly annoying.
There is no point in trying to argue with them.
I'm sorry that people have made you feel this way and you're right, it's impossible to argue with them, they're so convinced of being right, of being on the side of the "good guys", that they don't listen to anyone any more.
I think this fandom has become very unhealthy, I say it but I've been defending it a lot lately, telling some new fans "you'll see the people in this fandom are generous and open-minded, a bit like the band". But I realise that it's only me who thinks that way. I got stuck in the old fandom, the one where people were positive and caring.
Personally, I'm going to carry on doing my own thing, feeding this fandom with photos and videos of Till and Rammstein, trying to ignore certain people here and elsewhere and their unpleasant presence. I remain and will remain a stand of Till and Rammstein, nothing and no one will make me change that.
Same here! It’s starting to look like Reddit in here. I like Rammstein, I like Till, I like his new music video and the new song. And I do not like everything he has ever done. Where is all of this coming from? Because he went to Mar-a-Lago? We don’t even know why he went there, nor do I need to know - and I do not need to hate everyone who does not share my views or values. (By the way, I’m vegan and still went to a type of zoo once to accompany friends and family. That did not change my ethical views.)
Till is trying to promote blood donation, a splendid cause. Predictably, the Ever Tainted Brigade is out in the comments, howling that he's a rapist and abuser. Because accusations that were thoroughly discredited after multiple extensive investigations by multiple law enforcement agencies should be enough to taint you forever and see you shunned and bullied out of everything you attempt.
Everyone of these muppets would take his blood in a heartbeat to save themselves. They can get fucked.
Till is yet again doing something good, and all haters can say is "gross" 🙄
The absolute stupidity and righteousness of these people in the comments section is so frustrating to me. They don’t like him, fine. But they have to smear their dirt under every single thing he does.
A beautiful story by @ morgxnstxrnn which, like so many others, proves to us once again that Till has a huge heart :
"So now that the year is coming to an end, I think I want to share this story and I'm ready to do so. And I'm doing this with permission of all people involved.
As some of you may know, my dad had fallen ill at the end of March. To be honest with you, he almost wasn't here with us anymore. But because of some miracle, we came into contact with Till. He told my father to get well soon when he was extremely ill and I think this was the push my father needed to keep going. I genuinely couldn't believe this was happening to him and to myself as well.
When my dad had recovered (this happened at the beginning of July), Till and I were talking about something. He asked how my dad was doing. I told him my dad was mostly better. Still has his issues because of how ill he was, but for the most part he was okay. Till then decided to suprise my dad by calling him. They talked on the phone for a while about life, just normal things. When they were done talking, I asked for the phone so I could thank Till as well. So I thanked him and he then asked 'Can't your dad come to Frankfurt?' I told him no, that's not a smart idea. The event itself is too close and my dad wouldn't be able to fly or take a train because of his health problems. And a taxi isn't in our budget. Till then offered 'Can't your dad maybe come to Gelsenkirchen? I'll arrange a van for him, don't worry about that.' So of course we took the offer and went with it. My dad and I were supposed to see Rammstein in Nijmegen in 2020, but we couldn't obviously because of ✨️corona✨️. I ended up getting Joe Letz his contact and he helped arrange everything. And handled everything so graciously.
I just wanted to say thank you for all of this. I still can't believe all of this happened when I thought my dad honestly wouldn't be here anymore. I truly can't put my gratitude into words.
Please remember to keep your humanity and be kind to one another 🫶🖤✨️"
In a 2003 interview with Legion, Flake shared a funny anecdote: "When we first came to Mexico City, we played together with Kiss at the Stadion del Sol. We flew back in the middle of the night on a Boeing 747 and shortly after takeoff Till said to me: 'Man, if we crash now, we're going to kill a few thousand people.' You have to know, we just flew over the slums. Suddenly there was a bang and it came from the front. And I thought: 'Aha, the cockpit exploded, bye, thanks!' Till said to me: 'Have a look and see if the engines are burning.' We kept sinking. At that moment I took Till's hand and said: 'I actually don't want to die!'. A stream of sweat ran down between our hands and it was dead quiet around us. The lights were off and the screens were dark too, 'So' I thought, ‘so now I'm going to be on the news’. Just like the magazine List sometimes says: 'Plane crashed - 200 dead - the causes are being investigated.' All I can say is: I now know how it feels to be in a plane like this just before it hits the ground. Paul turned to us. Very slowly, like a puppet, he made a gesture like I'd never seen before: he just waved at us, it was like, 'Guys, it was nice seeing you’. I looked at Till and thought through everything that was in my life that happened so far and somehow in my head there was only one 'Well, yes!'... We didn't hit the ground after all, it kept going... What I only found out much later: the plane was struck by lightning and what happened is that all computer programs failed. From that moment on, the pilots flew this gigantic airplane again like before: with cables to the wings. Suddenly the Stewarts came through again and asked: What do you want to drink? Our connecting flight was then like taking a tram. There is definitely a feeling of being a newborn. In retrospect, Till, who was just writing lyrics just before the bang, said: 'I was about to write ejaculation!'" Hi. I’d like to re-post this video where Till saves Paul by a (probably) 3rd degree burn or worse. Around 0:23.
In this 2nd video, around 0:30, a viewer states that Till tells Richard to watch out for the incoming flames (“pass auf!”).
I think that Till watches out for his band mates constantly during every concert, as he’s probably the one who knows most about the pyrotechnics they use.
All hail Till.
I love these. He’s so caring and you’re right. Till ‘is the pyrotechnician in the band. The others have obviously had some training but he’s the only one who is qualified/certified.They also have some stage crew who are pyrotechnicians but Till is still in charge and has ultimate responsibility for the safety of the band and audience. As he has said if anything goes wrong it’s he who’ll go to prison.
“yeah flake and till always fight on stage i’m sure they can’t stand eachother”
did you know that when flake just joined rammstein till was the only person he liked?
did you know that till watches out for flake during stage acts and makes sure he doesn’t get hurt?
did you know that till stole a pair of shoes for flake?
did you know that they became good friends even though their first meeting was… chaotic?
did you know that flake really does admire till, like he said in his book?
did you know that till admires flake too, because of his additions to songs with his keyboard?
did you know that they do really trust eachother?
wait....there are actually people who think Till and Flake not like eachother?
Do these people not know Rammstein at all?
This was added to GEMA (Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrecht) "Society for musical performing and mechanical reproduction rights" so it does seem almost certain we're getting a Rammstein documentary this year 🔥
Yesssss! Although I have to laugh a bit at the title… 😄 It’s kinda silly, but OK! I can’t wait!!

I see nothing but slow healing of a deep, open wound in Tills poem. Everything will be fine.
In fact, him covering his heavily scarred arms in tattoos looks to be part of that healing process.

If not for the bands message, I would 100% believe he was quitting either Rammstein or both the band and music. In fact, I think last year he was going to. No doubt about it. But the support and love stopped him. Made him rethink things. There are still people, a lot of people, who want to see and hear him. Like a Phoenix from the ashes - that's what I think the end of the poem implies
I also think he lost a lot of people. In music industry and personal life. People turned their backs on him long before any verdict was issued, and that made him lose hope. It would make anyone lose hope.
But truth prevails. And those who were genuinely loyal - stayed. And for those people alone, it is worth continuing... and I don't mean just music.
Hi 👋🏻
If Rammstein's thank you-message from two days ago hadn't been posted, I would be even more worried than I already am.
Nevertheless, I try to hold onto the fact that it is hardly likely that the band would publicly announce their continuation for all fans to see, and then their lead singer would announce his departure two days later.
Yet Till had to endure incredibly much last year. He was pilloried and prejudged from all sides, while at the same time, no one gave him the opportunity or allowed him to actively defend himself. His professional environment (the band, other Rammstein employees), as well as his private environment with family (there were even articles about Nele and his mother in the German press) and friends were dragged into it, then there was vandalism and death threats against him.
That one becomes hopeless and thinks about quitting (not only in a professional sense...) is not surprising. The poem reads very personally, as if he is not necessarily (only) referring to his musical career. If you approach the matter interpretively, you can also think that he has lost a lot privately (maybe friends who turned on him, other people in his life became frosty and distant...) and had to endure a lot. However he meant his poem, it seems to be an emotional/sad vent for the emotions and grief he still actively carries and now, with the tour over, perhaps feels more than during the busy and consuming tour life.
I think it is good that he makes it clear how close it hit him - a witch hunt was carried out against him to an incredible extent. Having to endure that leaves marks that do not fade quickly. Till is not a saint and has his quirks, but he certainly did not deserve this.
He is an artist, so he naturally expresses himself in a lyrical and cryptic way. We must be patient and wait to see if and what comes next. I really hope that he has found hope and confidence again. The matter is far from over; proceedings against a podcast are ongoing, and his lawyers have filed a lawsuit against Der Spiegel. That means it will accompany him for a while, whether he wants it to or not. I hope he has a network of loyal people around him who are good for him, and that he at least somewhat finds inner peace... and strength to carry on.
