It is that moment I live for as a professional muralist, the official unveiling of the mural when it's finished. It is a distinctive blend of excitement and anxiety. And then I see that look. The look on the faces that lets me know they have been transported to this favorite place or the picture they asked is exactly what they desired.
It's magic I tell you. It is hard to paint a word picture since it's as much energy since it's emotion. I can feel them glowing! It is a joy that's genuine, contagious and uncontainable. It's that smile from ear to ear and the twinkle in their eye that let's me know they're trapped in sheer delight in the creation that's now a part of the lives. It's an extension of the personality, passion and love for some place or some thing that absolutely evokes joy and satisfaction.
