So has everyone chilled out a bit now that Homecoming or whatever is over? I feel like walking down the hallway was a dangerous endeavour all of last week. Are all the cool people going to keep pretending to like me or are we back to business as usual?
Things will usually mellow out until the next big thing. Thatâs why apathy is the best thing to have because you realize most of this is all bullshit.
âoh,â trystan looked up from his (spiked) drink, shooting the other a polite smile. âdonât mind meâiâm just taking a break. from all the dancing.â truth be told, he wasnât tiredâhe was bored. âsome company would be nice, though,â he added.
wally had avoided the alcohol for most of the night, choosing to wait until a bit later because he went hard when drinking. he was more of a beer fan than mixed drinks, but on events such as these he wasnât picky. âhavinâ fun there?â wally sat down, pulling a granola bar from his satchel and handing it to the male. âwant this? i have a bunch. a fucked up perk of having diabetes is always having snacks on you.â
Wally had been sitting down while against the bleachers, staying as close to the drink bowl as possible waiting for a refill. He wasnât the best dancer, his height made everything awkward so he was limited to moving in place and trying to not look like an inflatable outside of a car dealership. Heâd been in the middle of checking his blood sugar when he spotted a girl who had clearly just thrown up put her hands all over the vegetable platter and picking through the carrots until she found enough.
He was just about to recheck his levels when he spotted someone walking over to the tray. Wally naturally had a very calming tone to his voice, and he walked up to person as if they werenât just about to ingest vomit germs from the girls hands. âHey. Uhm. Just trust me on this, you may want to wait until the platter is refilled.â Wally pointed to the girl, and what he didnât notice before was the traces of vomit on her dress. âThatâs such a nice dress too. And I would tell her but she looks like sheâs having fun.â
âThanks.â His grin growing as his gaze continued to focus on the other male. Abexander let his eyes take all of him in, but mostly Wallaceâs face, as it was what intrigued him the most. And it was visible on the juniorâs face. âI donât blame you. They donât make films the way they used to. Especially horror films. Who doesnât love watching the quiet girl fall for the dangerous guy, right?â A rhetorical question because he didnât necessarily agree with it. The entire story of twilight revolved around the romance, which made it a little boring for Abexander. He shook his head once. âIâm gonna pass, but thank you.â He smiled. âIâm going to call you Wallace.â A pause. âHas anyone ever told you that you look like a psychotic killer? With dead eyes and an evil grin. Itâs hot.â
Wally ran his hands through his hair, the smile lingering on his face while his gaze met the other males. His smile was one of few consistent things about him, most people joking if he was a robot because he genuinely was relaxed and calm a majority of the time. âI agree. As you can see, Iâm more of a sucker for classics. I had a flip phone for the longest time. My grandmaâs phone was newer than mine.â The first ten years of his life he was hardly exposed to the newer technologies other than televisions, shitty laptops, and the iphone 3G his mom won at a festival. His newer phone was great though because it let him monitor his blood sugars and get reminders on eating and checking on his insulin. He shook his head, chuckling at his words. âPsychotic killer is new.â Wally didnât expect it but didnât mind, everyone had different ways of complimenting him. âPerfect compliment considering Halloween and I guess I donât need a costume at this point.â He joked. âI appreciate your honesty, and since we are giving compliments. I canât lie when I say youâre handsome as hell.â
âHe was nicer to look at, sure, but I have a thing for sparkly vampires. Donât tell Nathaniel.â He leaned forward to get a better look at the guy. âThe only reason I know about Twilight is because I was once a thirteen year old girl.â He explained with a shrug. âWho are you?â He asked, still havenât had met everyone at Carmel High, but he was getting there.
âYour secret is literally safe with me.â Wally raised his hand holding the sandwich, taking another bite while in his usual relaxed tone. He was currently wearing a mickey mouse shirt older than himself, a jean jacket, and maroon pants that he bought from goodwill. âTo be honest I donât really watch a lot of newer movies so the concept of Twilight was interesting say the least.â Wally finished the rest of his sandwhich, leaning against whatever he was next to. âWant a sandwhich? I warn you, itâs vegetarian and is gross as fuck to some people.â He didnât mind sharing, Wally was a very laid back guy who grewup practically sharing everything. âWallace. I prefer Wally but call me whatever floats your boat.â
âPeople around town are so uptight. I just got banned from the coffee shop for trying to make out with an Edward Cullen. Anyway, have some candy.â He tosses candy thatâs designed to look hazardous. Edible needles or razors in the candy visible through the wrapping, but it was 100% safe. He was dressed as Two-Face, from Batman.Â
âHonestly, Iâd ban you too. Jacob is the hotter one you should have been kissing him. The only reason I even know about Twilight is because some girl did a class analysis on those books to the movies.â Wally had been muching on a sandwhich to keep his blood sugar up, he was never into Halloween besides the costumes because he didnât really eat sweets.
Isla sighed as she looked down at a map sheâd been given of the school, which she was finding very difficult to read. It was photocopied badly so the numbers were hard to read, and the landmarks werenât very clearly named, so she was left wandering the halls, just wanting to find the cafeteria. âUm, excuse me?â She finally asked someone, lightly tapping on their shoulder. âWould you mind explaining how to get to the cafeteria? My lunch period is almost half over and Iâm completely lost.â Wow, she really hated being new.
Wally had a free period for the next hour, glad his brain could recover after his chemistry lesson on covalent bonds. Even the stripped down version was hard for him to grasps or really care for. He had his head inside of his locker for a moment, remembering he needed to change out his insulin because he hadnât done it the night before. Wally was in the middle of sticking the needle back after replacing everything he needed, completely used to his own diabetic needs, when he spotted the familiar girl. âYeah.Just gimmeh a second, please.â He pushed the needle all the way back in, closed his locker, and turned his attention towards the shorter girl. âYouâre nowhere close, but I got you covered.â Wally began walking, assuming she would follow him even when he didnât technically tell her to.
having a vegetarian option would be gnarly, dude. what can you bake?
ill be sure to share a meal with ya during lunch one of these days. i can make a lot of things. a baked veggie enchilada, baked veggie zeti, a pasta bake, pretty much anything you can think of without meat.
What traumatized you? Was it just the blood or what? Iâm just used to it, I guess. Itâs exciting bringing a new being into the world.
How do you⊠study? I mean I guess if it works for you then it does⊠I just really need it all in one place if Iâm going to have any hopes of passing.
Everything was just gross about it. I was seven years old. Iâve grown up a vegetarian all my life and that really solidified it. The popping sound rings in my ears when I think about it.
I look over everything at the last possible minute and hope that I can get a good enough grade to pass. Iâm not a model student. Person, maybe.
Um so⊠likeâŠ. can anyone lend me their notes from last Friday? I had to help my aunt deliver a calf so I wasnât at school.
Iâm all for the miracle of life but when I was younger I watched several animals give birth and itâs still traumatized me to this day, I commend you for being able to see that.
And youâre going to hate me, but I havenât taken consistent notes for a class in years. I can give you random notes I took down that are the most important but then youâd have to decipher my handwriting.
God, I fucking hate airports. No matter if itâs private or public; people still forget to use their common sense.Â
Anyway, Iâm glad Iâm back even though Iâve got a ton of catching up to do. I guess thatâs to be expected when your dadâs on the campaign trail.Â
Welcome back. Iâve honestly never been on a plane before but hearing from other people make them sound boring and chaotic. Airport security is not a vibe I can deal with considering how anxious it makes everyone - and are the plans even ever on time?
Again, my experience is from movies that came out during the early 90s to mid 2000s so they could be a lot different now.
Hey everyone. Marv here. I know Wally has long bio but Iâm making a condensed version.
tw: child neglect, weed mentions, death
BACKGROUND
- Full name is Wallace Alan Pearce. He goes by Wally.
- Wally has lived with his grandparents since he was 10 years old. He lived with his parents for the first 10 years of his life. They lived in a RV traveling the United States. They were anti-vax, believed in natural science and not medicine, homeschooling Wally way behind what he needed to be, and pretty much neglecting him and his health issue that were being treated with ânatural remedies.â
- Wally has a younger brother that was born when he was 9. The day his brother was born, Wally collapsed in the waiting room. It was discovered that he had Type One Diabetes and after an evaluation they realized that Wally was being neglected. He and his younger brother were immediately placed in the care of his grandparents. Only a few people know about his past, he keeps it private.
- Wallyâs grandfather died when he was 13. Now he works at a thrift store. His grandmotherâs health is declining so he pretty much takes care of his younger brother and her.
PERSONALITY:
- Wally is very spontaneous. He doesnât ever ever have a set-plan and is welcoming of change. Heâs the type of person to jump into a lake on a cold day, randomly gift one of his friends, total going off the book with things, and is a person that can be hard to read at times. Heâs also very observant of his surroundings and can usually get a good read on people or things, though he may choose to act oblivious because itâs a lot easier.Â
- Wally comes across as very laid back, and gets so into his head that he can seem detached from a situation. It can be scary how relaxed he can be even when shit hits the fan. Most insults/words never bother him (unless itâs about his family) and laughs a lot of things off. He tends to not take most things/people seriously. His friends describe him as âbeing high without the weed.â
- Wally is very disorganized. Heâs not the best with keeping his thoughts/words consistent. One line for him has many branching paths and he often struggles to stay focused for very long. He acts upon impulse and can be considered a thrill seeker to a fault. Wallyâs disorganization leaks out into him constantly losing things and not having the most organized room/backpack/locker.
- Wally is very private about his personal life. Most people donât know about his actual past or what his home life is like.
OTHER INFO:
- Wally is really into classic and vintage clothing. Most of his clothing involves classic styles pre-2000s. It doesnât just stretch out into clothes itâs also things such as his glasses, backpack, notebooks, his room, etc. He usually sticks out.
- He genuinely doesnât care for popularity. Heâll hang out and talk to whomever he wants. He likes being in the middle because thereâs less expectations and usually not having to deal with the potential drama
- He works at the local thrift store doing mostly cashier work and stocking the store when items come in. This is where a lot of his clothes come from. He also models for one of his friendâs vintage style clothing brand.
- He grew up in a very âhippieâ way. He grew being vegetarian, his parents (and grandparents) were big weed smokers, always being around a lot of plants, having a lot of vintage things around the house, etc.
- Wally is homosexual. He realized his sexuality a long time ago and doesnât hide it. No one in his family minded which was a big enough reason to come out for him.
