Wal has a habit of mumbling a…lot

there are times where he can end up speaking exceptionally fast,particularly if it’s something he likes or he’s inescapably comfortable around the person he’s talking to.

It’s always been considered a “gruff, old man mercenary who lost his wife and daughter in a act of violence, and now nothing can unharden his gravel laced tone of voice” trope, but the issue with those is that they tend to yell a lot. Which is something Wal does not do.
