the sheer fact that agatha and rio didn't have to kiss for that long. they didn't even have to kiss at all. rio could've just taken her, agatha could've just pecked her on the lips. but instead? instead, agatha, who is overwhelmed by grief for her son, and also trying to force herself to be okay with the fact that she will never see rio again, (because as we know from kathryn herself, agatha wants to not love rio, but she can't help it) turns around, and changes her decision at the last moment. rio looks at her like she's been waiting for this moment her entire life, and agatha is finally ready. she is finally.. after all these centuries, ready to go. she's never been able to kiss rio, she's never been able to taste her, and as her last act, she does just that. she pulls this love she's had for so long into a kiss that will kill her, and she does it with no regret; no fear. tears are falling from her eyes, and still, she reaches for the one woman she's ever loved, and she kisses her. they could've stopped there, but they did not. rio held her, in her arms, as she died. agatha kept going back for her lips, all while she was dying. her final act was not to save billy, it was to kiss her only love, to taste even the smallest hint of ecstasy that you can feel when you've just kissed the person you're tied to, both physically, and emotionally. even as agatha's particles dispersed, and she was no more, she reached for her love. rio vidal, death, a being that's killed and collected more bodies than anyone ever could know, was reluctant, was hesitant. it's like a bittersweet symphony, a long journey of hatred, love, and life, coming to an end. and yet, for the first time ever, finally beginning.
