My vlogging tool! The trusty @goproin Hero (2014) It's been through a lot of shit and it's still working. Got wet twice during heavy rains in my Ride De India Road-trip and Bangalore Trip because of me forgetting to put the waterproof back cover. Kawasaki Ninja 650 just flies on opening the throttle. Sweet 2 pot engine, no vibrations at all! Helmet visor kept getting shut because of the wind and I kept opening it up to get the feel of the air hitting on the face. While shifting from 1 to 2, it was going into neutral. Not sure if that's the case with all Ninja 650s or me not being used to the gear lever being other way round. Disclaimer: For entertainment purposes only. Please don't try to imitate. Ride De India 2017 Day 6: Continuation We had crossed Maharashtra-Gujarat border and were enjoying the cleanliness and the beauty of Gujarat roads when @denzilr96 asked me to stop. I was just ahead of him. He told that his bike stopped moving ahead on the flyover. Since it was a one way, I couldn't take a U turn and go back. So I just went back in reverse gear 😂. We tried starting the bike. It wasn't starting. We checked almost everything but couldn't figure out what went wrong. • • Then we did the best we could- I took a rope and tied his bike to mine. We towed the @royalenfield with the @ktm_india till the end of the flyover and asked a guy where the nearest garage was. He told us there was one in 4 kilometres. So we decided and towed the bike till the garage and later got to know that the issue was with the fuel switch. It was blocked due to rust from the fuel tank. We were supposed to ride to Ahmedabad on this day, but were suggested by garage people to stay in Vadodara as it would be very late by the time we reach Ahmedabad. Ride De India 2017: Day 5: 10 Aug, 2017: We just spent a day resting in Mumbai. We had thought of exploring Chor Bazaar and trying to find good riding boots and GoPro for cheap but we ended up staying at home the whole day because we woke up late. Later in the evening we went to get our bikes washed. • • • Day 6: We started off from Mumbai at 9:30 am. @denzilr96's dad Mr. Stanley Rose who is a biker himself and has done two big rides- The Trans American Adventure 1990 covering America and Canada and Australian Adventure 1994 covering most of Australia on his Yezdi flagged off our ride from their place in Mumbai. We met a few of our family friends who came to meet us on the highway in Boisar. We had small chats with them, and after a couple of photos, lunch breaks and fuel ups, the next stop was supposed to be Ahmedabad. But we got into some issues with the bullet and had to halt in Vadodara. Throughout the ride of 11,000 kilometres spanning 43 days, we never had any major breakdowns with both the KTMs just because of these legendary KTM doctors. They had treated our bikes as their own whenever we used to hand them our machines. Because of that we had the confidence to take the KTM which had previously run 61,000 kilometres on an All India Trip where we were riding around 650 kilometres at a stretch in a day at times and on all kinds of roads. Not that we didn't have any breakdowns. We did have some minor problems in bike like coolant overflowing, brakes getting jammed and heating up the disc, display and wiring problems. But they were available 24/7 like family to assist us in instructing us on how to fix the issue by ourselves. We heartily thank these legends. This is the charger that I used in my All India Ride of 11,000 kilometres. Since Mr. Satyajeet from @theboltclubriders had sponsored this charger, I thought of doing extreme testing on it. I was using it day and night. I was charging my phone even during heavy rains and snowfalls. The charger is still working fine. The only problem that I had with it was the USB cable connection was coming loose. The cable once came out and touched my bike's silencer and melted a little. It still works fine though. You guys can improve on that department @theboltclubriders. Maybe give a provision so that it clicks into the slot and doesn't come out easily. Also, provide another model of Bolt with cigarette lighter included. The air pumps that we use work with cigarette lighter ports and it'll be very useful for the riders who travel long distances. •• •• They also have an app that lets you record your routes, upload ride photos, stories, check other riders' stories, average speed and many other options that they are still developing. This has a GPS unit inside it which helps in doing all that functions. •• •• Do I recommend this charger? Yes, I do recommend this charger.
