Overthinking to that extent where my head starts hurting
“I want the part of you that you refuse to give.”
— Ellen Hopkins
I’m always stuck between being the bigger person & destroying someone’s life when they hurt me. There’s no in between 😭
*forgives people because holding a grudge is way too exhausting and there are many things in my future I need my whole energy for*
why is maturity just being okay with people hurting you
the relief you get when you just cave, swallow your pride, and be the bigger person I mean idk if it’s better than holding out until the other person just apologizes for what they did wrong because that’s never happened to me, but yea it’s good I guess
Tired of “being the bigger person” and “not stooping to their level”. About to start bringing a hairdryer into people’s bedrooms to make sure there is no cool side of their pillow.
Does anyone else...
Get tired of having to be the bigger person when it comes to adults, specifically parents? Why am I responsible for being the one to apologize or reach out or own up to my mistakes when their feelings are hurt but my entire childhood when I was treated like absolute shit and had the gall to argue back when they were being ridiculous and got upset because I was being told how ungrateful I was and what a brat I was and how I needed to grow up and basically being made out to be a villan, they dont have to apologize for all that. What the fuck
Spilling tea has gone on for centuries in a variety of ways
“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.”
