So far in Geneva:
Well it has almost been a full week in Geneva and I do have mixed reviews. I really like the experience that I am having here and I am learning alot, but the class is not what I thought it would be. I thought I would be learning more about how to stimulate economic development for LDCs and developing countries, but it seems that this class is definitely centered around a top-down/ trickle-down approach to development. The one thing I can say is the places that we go are pretty impressive! Going to the WTO and the UN is very insightful and the buildings are beautiful. The professors that the program has acquired are top-notch! Most of the professors’ work is known around the world and they are consultants for most of the decisions made at the WTO! (pretty impressive)
