What’s studying german like at Dartmouth or even college in general? I’m interested in going there and possibly majoring in it.
hey! German at Dartmouth is great, I’m learning it basically from scratch (I placed into German 2 with duolingo) since the winter and my professors have been incredible so far. in fact my german class feels like the only online class this term that I’ve been still learning a ton in lol. my current plan is to keep up with german classes until I’m semi-fluent then go on their foreign study program in Berlin in fall 2021 - they have lots of study abroad opportunities in the department but that’s the one I plan to go with. the department is small but super welcoming and well-funded, as most of the language departments at dart seem to be.
