What I Wish My Younger Self Knew (from me in my 30s)
Almost everything is bait. Ideologies, politics, ideas outside of your own (they should never be taken too seriously bc life is ever-flowing and unpredictable--no matter how hard we try to convince ourselves we can predict the future truth with numbers and tech, even those systems have limits). Think for yourself. If you are not working for yourself, you are working for someone else's legacy and creation. Build your own path, or if you're going to help build someone else's (which is completely valid if it is YOUR CHOICE) make sure it is with YOUR consent in mind. Most of the things they will tell you are false--especially the things that they try to sell you. Go directly to the source (where the info was born) when you want answers. Do not rely on someone else telling you what to think. Do not fear. Do not shrink yourself. There's always infinite sides to a story, and it's impossible to get it 100% right. Do not judge, simply observe and choose what feels right to YOU. Don't carry the past, it was never your burden. Life is messy, but it has beautiful moments worth cherishing. Most importantly: sometimes things don't change, they REBRAND. Something NEW is sometimes the best solution forward, not utilizing systems that hurt our species by design. Tech and systems will mislabel you to fit their own agenda, you are free to correct the misunderstandings. Nobody is better than anybody else, nobody started at the same line, and the difference between you and someone with seemingly more than you is that they got to the resources first. Comparison is detrimental for growth and unfair to YOU.
