Update on the Landlord situation!!

My mom got off the phone with the CAC, and they’re waiting for paperwork from our landlord to help pay our bills off.

We’re going tomorrow to talk to the judge, so hopefully that goes well. I’ll keep y’all posted.

7/26 update

The hearing was postponed until next week. Legal Aid was a big help, the guy was super understanding and told us he’d call tomorrow afternoon after he presented our case. Hoping to hear some good news from him.

We talked to our landlord’s attorney, and he told us she just wants us out. I really hope it doesn’t come to that, when we first moved in here my mom was bedridden for three weeks, and that was only when we had a few desks and some boxes. She can’t handle another move. If it comes to that though we were given a list of places to call, I just hope they’ll help get us a place if we do have to move out.

I’ll keep ya’ll posted.
