Starry Girls, now it was coming back to him. “Oh, of course, that’s where I recognize you,” he said with a smile before she mentioned disbandment. It gave him a familiar pang of sadness as his own disandment and it definitely showed on his face. “Well, now that you’re here, I’m sure that won’t happen,” he said, doing his best to be reassuring. “And sure! Maybe we could help each other!” Sure, it was a competition, but what was the harm in helping someone else?
She raised her brows, surprised he’d actually heard of her group. Then again, maybe he was bluffing too. Either way, she appreciated the gesture. Although, his words felt empty, despite her determination, she knew failure was a still possibility.
“Wonderful. Of course we want to win but I also think making connections and relationships will build us up just as much in the long run, both personally and in our careers.” Another lie. She wasn’t here to make friends. While she’d make an effort to get along and probably expected them all to become rather familiar, close friends just weren’t Wanfei’s scene. They never had been and they could never equate in impact to pure success to her.
“So, what about after it all? What are you plans then?”
