Summary:

Out of pure curiosity,Guiding light disguises themself as a human to see what humans are like,going under the name of Estelle and working as the bartender.Things go smoothly until the hotel burns down on August 10,19XX

The employees at the hotel become the entities that roam the halls of what was once a wonderful place to work and stay at,turned into a labyrinth of doors and questions.

Hi fun fact(my AU)

Curious lights hair is actually hair from a visitor(said visitor died,curious light found their body and was like:

“Well it’s not like they’re using it anymore.”

(Took them a while because stitching anything into wood is physically impossible-)

Architect doodles + Headcannons:

1-Curious light “drinks” starlight vials because it helps with pain(Their vessel is extremely weak and their actual form is made out of constantly melting wax,which tends to get stuck in their joints and makes it harder to move)

2-Misi’s first creation was the weird eye flower,they made it,thought Guiding would like it, and gave it to her(now it’s spreading through the archives.)

I like to think the entity shown in the archives trailer reminds curious,as well as other visitors,of guiding light,(which makes blue seem like a safe color,luring visitors in before swallowing them whole.)

In waning crescent,the architects were created simply to preserve old buildings,to preserve memory.Eventually,the youngest got bored and decided to try and create something new,starting with the flower,then other entities,and then..getting a bit carried away afterwards and drifting away from their original design.

Eventually,Guiding light noticed and confronted them about it,a simple confrontation turning into an all out brawl between the two,curious getting caught in the crossfire in the process,binding him to his vessel and causing the rift,bringing down buildings in the real world in the process and making the limbo more of a broken labyrinth than it already was,with buildings that weren’t supposed to be dragged into it just yet.

THE THREE ARCHITECTS[Waning Crescent AU]

The three architects were created to build and gaurd the limbo,a place between life and death,they used to work together,all creating a balance of sorts,until one day that balance shifted,now there’s a rift in which humans can accidentally end up there by accident(think of it as a backrooms esque way of getting sent there)

The limbo is also a place where broken things go(EX:yknow the movie drifting home?and how there’s like abandoned buildings floating in the sea and stuff?It’s kinda like that.places in the limbo are broken down places(the rooms,the outdoors,the backdoor,the hotel,the mines,etc are all “abandoned” places,which is why they’re there.)the architects are in charge of rebuilding these buildings and preserving them in the realm

For simplicities sake.

Guiding light..guides you through the hotel/the mines,duh.

Curious light is just curious.They’re basically just testing you to see what happens(which is why they don’t really help you that much)

The Red Light controls the entities and modifiers which can make it harder for you to get through the hotel if you so please

(It’s all their fault.)

DESIGNS:

The three architects don’t actually have physical bodies that can interact with the world around them,so they sorta created their own “bodies” (EX:Curious lights body is like this wooden puppet they found in the outdoors,Guiding light’s is/is reminiscent to a broken porcelain doll)The third architect doesn’t have one because they just didn’t see a point in having one.(why confine themselves to a physical body when they can just light/silly)
