wow ya'll I just...I'm really really sorry. I thought I was gonna keep this muse alive but he's just...been through a lot in the last year and it seems he's pretty ready to retire. At least for a while. I didn't mean to like hiatus for a month but I think it's a sign? I really enjoyed what I had going but I think it's better if I put him to the side and put this blog on a permanent hiatus.  I may come back, or I may remake. We'll see. But ya'll are so wonderful! I'm sorry for letting anyone down. If you ever want to find me I'm at leaderxfthepack (Scott McCall from Teen Wolf) 95% of the time now and sergeantjbbarnes (Bucky Barnes from Marvel) as much as the muse will let me. I would still love to write with you all, and both blogs are VERY crossover friendly. so I think this is where we'll part for now <3

Dean perked up when he heard ‘a bottle of scotch’. He reached his hand around him making sure he still had his gun, and knife but did so stealthily. After he felt that they where there he returned Jack’s smile with a slight shrug of his shoulders.

"I could go for some scotch. Just promise not to take advantage of me." He winked with a chuckle towards the other.

Jack's grin only grew, the movement unnoticed as he rocked himself away from Dean and made a very obvious leer over his frame. Good looking, cracked as many jokes as him -- there were no promises to be made.

"No promises." He winked, turning on his heels and heading directly toward the hotel in the opposite direction.

Did he not understand sarcasm? Gwen shook her head, staring off into the night sky for a moment. He sure was an strange man. She had to admit the World War II era coat was pretty fantastic, though. An old soul, there was no doubt. But how old? That was irrelevant for the time being, she mused. “I meant we both have our reasons for being up here, right? I haven’t been to Cardiff in quite a long time, I’m just exploring. Why are you on a rooftop in the middle of the night?”

Ah so she wasn't being serious. Really he didn't know how to tell anymore. "Why am I on a roof top? I'm always on roof tops." He chuckled, crossing his arms over his chest with a broad smirk on his face. Sure he was talking in circles but this was what he did.

"What could you possibly want from me?”

"You're the one that approached me."

       ”Come now Jack Do you not recognize me?”

"Jack, I literally do not know what this is. Infection or parasitic life form or.. I-I don’t know. You can’t come near me."

"Can't die ---- remember? I'll be fine. What's a little infection, not like it lasts a lifetime."

Bucky smiled, relieved that the other soldier didn’t seem angry or annoyed at his suggestion.

He buttoned up the rest of his jacket and strode up next to Jack, hands stuffed into his pockets. It was a chilly winter day, and Bucky’s cheeks were already tinted pink from the cold air. 

"Alright. It’s not far."

The color in Bucky's cheeks made the smile on Jack's face grow ever so slightly as he ducked his head and walked alongside him. They were quiet for a few moments, but it was feeling like a few moments too long as the wind lifted the tails of his coat.

"How are you uh...how are you feeling by the way? I know you've been through...a lot."

It was not often that the Commandos found themselves this far east, and it was even more rare that they found themselves with some time to kill. So bar-hopping they went, until finally deciding on a small but rather popular bar just on the border of Russia. Jacques and Dum Dum were already drunk, and they were currently singing a song with some Russian soldiers in terrible, broken Russian. The rest of the group, including Steve, had bounced around to mingle and chat and dance with some of the women assembled. And that left Bucky sitting at the bar, staring into his glass of vodka.

At least they were in an Allied country, though barely anyone spoke English. Not that Bucky had anyone to talk to even if he spoke it. Something had happened since Steve had rescued him from the Hydra compound, something off about him that he couldn’t quite put his finger on. Probably just some shell-shock, he thought.

His thoughts were interrupted by someone speaking English to him with a perfect American accent. He turned. It was a tallish man with short, dark hair and a somewhat mischievous looking smirk. Bucky shook the hand that was offered. “Sergeant James Barnes, Howling Commandos, formerly the 107th.”

Part of him was upset that he'd already offered his name to the soldier, wishing he could add some fancy title he didn't know much about. He was a man parading about as someone he wasn't, and he couldn't care less about who he was supposed to be. This was a gig, nothing more. It was him waiting, wishing. Though he had to admit, he was pretty partial to the 1940's. The booze was better, the girls and the boys were hotter, and the attire was to die for. He had a feeling this coat was going to become a regular part of his closet for the next few decades. "Pleasure to meet you Sergeant." He shook the hand before dropping it, leaning over on the bar counter. He didn't know anything about the America army, never really one for American dos despite the accent. But he knew enough about the British military to pretend to get by. "RAF. You could say, special forces. Top secret." The wink was accompanied by a slight chuckle. What more could he say? Top secret organization that had sent him to Russia to track down a rouge alien? The world didn't know about aliens. They weren't ready yet. That was part of his job. And he did do his job well. "What're you drinking soldier?"

Stopped dead in her tracks, Gwen was suddenly grateful she was only half human or she would have had a heart attack. The man stood only a few inches taller than her, yet in this moment she felt small next to him. For a human, his presence was oddly strong. 

"That depends. I’m not the only one standing on this rooftop, am I?"

The question seemed a bit strong, so all he managed was to cross his arms over his chest and stare on at her. Was she serious? Did she think he was...what even could he be, some invisible alien?

"Pretty sure we wouldn't be talking if I wasn't standing here too."

"Well then stop pushing me away and let me help you figure it out!"

      … Yeah, apparently so. I think Tony       probably coined that name. It seems       to be catching on, unfortunately. 

      Not as hard as you'd think it would be.       I found myself in a place where I could       stay put. I was waiting for someone.       In fact, I was waiting for someone when       I first met you.       But now I'm a bit more of a wanderer.       It could be a lot worse. At least it's sorta       accurate?       I'm kidding. But uh, I am glad to see you.

Tosh looked up from her work, pulling her glasses from her nose to get a better look at the Captain. “Not as of late, no,” she said, inwardly suspicious, but not showing it. In Jack’s world, compliments meant he needed something. The bigger the compliment, the bigger the favor. “Do continue.” A tiny smile graced her features as she scrutinized the man. What could he possibly want?

There was no doubt in his brain that she knew exactly what he wanted, but it was easy enough for him to just smile and lean against the the edge of her desk as he looked down at the screen and what she'd been working on.

"Well I do. You are wonderful and I would be lost without you. So lost that I have a...small favor to ask. A small one, I swear. Tiny. You'll barely even notice you're doing it."
