My Muses
This is a multi-muse blog, so please specify muse when sending messages and such. I have been writing fan fiction and role playing various characters for over 20 years, but I am still learning in the DC Universe. My characters are mostly based off of tv shows, animated movies, what I have read so far comic-wise, and what I can glean from wiki pages. You can mostly assume I'm playing the Robins based off of their characterization in Wayne Family Adventures, but other inspiration follows...
Barry Allen (Arrowverse, The Flash by Geoff Johns 2010)
Dick Grayson (Teen Titans 2003, Batman the Animated Series 1992, currently reading through Nightwing the New 52! from 2011)
Jason Todd (Red Hood: the Lost Days 2010, I plan on reading Outlaws but just haven't gotten to it yet.)
Tim Drake (1993 Comic run, Tim Drake: Robin 2024)
Damian al Ghul Wayne (DCU Son of Batman movies, Supersons Rebirth from 2017, Supersons from 2018, Adventures of the Supersons)
"T-T So, what makes you a star?" Damian asked, crossing his arms with an unimpressed frown. (From @wanted-to-do-more)
"It's my family name?" Jax answered, a little confused. "OH! You mean the username? Well, I go to GCU on a lacrosse scholarship and I'm one of the best players on the team."
Jax neglected to mention that he hardly felt like the best on the team most of the time, Robin didn't need to know that part.
“You kiss me with your mouth wide open like you’re not afraid of swallowing poison. I taste the good and bad in you and want them both. We call this bravery.”
"Dc why set up the parallels and never use them" BUT WE WERE SO CLOSE. WE WERE THIS CLOSE.
"I don't need drugs. I've got you." <- Is such an insane thing to say like what do you mean. Then looked at Roy so intense and affectionally he had to ask him if they were going to hug. Heksbsksbsjsbs
Damian sent Lois a cryptic text: Meet me at the following location. Come alone. *Coordinates attached*
"Clark," Lois said throwing on a pair of knee high boots over a pair of dark jeans. "He asked me to come, so I'm going."
"But it's in Gotham," her husband protested. "And it's Damian."
"Yes, Damian. Your son's best friend. Besides, he's fourteen what's the worst he's gonna do?"
Clark leveled a look at her.
"...Okay I'll bring the clicker," she begrudgingly acquiesced.
Lois pulled up to the abandoned warehouse in Gotham's Chinatown. She drove the old pickup that was empty and left the doors unlocked so no windows had to be broken. Maybe it would've been better to bring the electric car as there wouldn't be an engine to steal out of it. But, she gripped the pepper spray tightly in her hand with her spiked brass knuckles around her fingers. Clipped to a beltloop was a retractable baton that Dick had trained her how to use. She found the door to the darkened warehouse open and the metal door shut with a loud and echoing clank behind her.
Damian didn't wait long. He had calculated about how long it would take her to get there and didn't even leave the manor until he was sure they would arrive within minutes of one another.
He waited on an upper level, pacing as he considered how he would discuss this with her.
He heard the door clank open. Listened to her footsteps in the hall. When she called his name, he leaped down, sliding down the line of his grappling gun. He landed before her and stowed the gun on his utility belt. "Mrs. Lane. Thank you for coming." He said, looking up at her.
Lois jumped back a bit at his entrance. Well, that looked fun. She looked around assessing her surroundings. She knew that her godson was capable on his own, but she didn't believe that he should be the one protecting her. Absently, she wondered if Bruce was around or if he was easily accessible. "Hello Damian. You're welcome. This is an interesting choice of venue. Can you tell me why I needed to drive all the way out here instead of a simple phone call? Does this concern Jon?"
"I needed to be sure that no one would overhear our conversation." Damian explained. "This is one of the few places I know for sure have sound proofing technology that works against Kryptonians. And no, Jon is not a part of this. But he is a terrible liar and I know you have the ability to be discreet."
He turned and started toward a metal shelving unit. "Follow me, please." Damian pressed the button on a fob from his belt, and the shelving unit gave a hiss before shifting away from the wall and to the side, revealing a secret passageway." Don't worry. This is one of my Father's safe houses. No one will harm you here. You can put away the brass knuckles."
Coulson had that wrinkle between his eyebrows that he got when he was concerned, but he just nodded his acknowledgement.
So the Avengers, minus Thor, plus Zola, boarded the jet, and prepared to leave. Zola sat next to Bruce, buckling herself in. Tony walked down the aisle, turned as if he were going to sit next to Bruce, and deliberately twisted to sit across from his friend instead, eyeing him suspiciously.
Bruce laughed as Tony stared at him, getting the feeling that Coulson and the SHIELD agents weren't the ones going to be doing the interrogating, but instead it would be Tony, trying to get under Bruce's skin about Zola.
Bruce slipped his hand down to rest on Zola's knee, as if he was trying to comfort the both of them and any nerves they might have had
"What are we expecting then? Because in my mind its usually some form of military or lone assassin trying to rip our faces off." He's addressing Tony and Zola now, and also the others
"Looks like a military op." Tony said dismissively. "I keep telling Fury we're not his personal firing squad. I think he just likes telling me what to do."
Clint rolled his eyes. "Not everything is about you, Tony."
Tony squinted at Clint. "You know what? You're right, Robin hood. Sometimes it's not about me. Sometimes it's about Zola, and why she thinks she needs to come with us. What is your special talent, huh, Zola?"
