News: WIT Studio Kadowaki Satoshi Illustrations Collection

Original Release Date: October 18th, 2019 Retail Price: 2,700 Yen

In its third artbook announcement in three days, WIT Studio is publishing the first illustration collection of Chief Animation , this time specifically 3DMG animation frames by Season 3 Chief Action Animation Director Kadowaki Satoshi! With a cover featuring a brand new illustration of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Sasha, and Connie on their way to the beach, the contents will feature all of the character illustrations shared daily on WIT Studio’s official Twitter & Instagram accounts throughout the Season 3 Part 2 TV broadcast.

A new illustrations collection artbook for Season 3 was also announced two days ago, while a 3DMG Line Art artbook by Imai Arifumi was announced yesterday.

Update (September 6th, 2019): The full beach illustration and half of its original sketch, featuring a whole cast of characters, has been revealed by WIT Studio as part of the artbook retailer bonuses!

You know what I love about A Knight’s Tale?

The director, during the director’s commentary, makes a point of informing the audience that the female blacksmith character is historically accurate, and that widows of blacksmiths did in fact take over their late husbands’ blacksmithing businesses in medieval Europe and it was one of the relatively rare circumstances wherein women were permitted to legally run their own businesses in medieval Europe.

This is literally the only historically accurate detail in the entire movie.

When I was a teenager when I lived with my parents, my bedroom was in the basement, and as such they didn’t particularly care what I did to my walls, ceiling etc

Which is why they didn’t care at all when, at age 13 in the mid-2000′s, I told them I was going to paint my walls with 6 foot tall murals of my favorite anime characters at the time.

Now, my parents have turned my old bedroom into a family room but refuse to cover up my adolescent shame, and every time I go over to visit I’m confronted with the troubling reality of the towering, hand-painted Inuyasha glowering at me from on high, reminding me I can never truly escape the sins of my past.
