JARED HARRIS as CAPTAIN FRANCIS CROZIER (The Terror, 2018) [insp] [quote]
End shot. Crozier is all alone in this place that supposedly wants him dead. and yet. there is a small child sleeping quite contentedly against him.
Happy Sail Out Day to all cold boys enthusiasts
"the terror has lead me to places I wouldn't go with a gun" and that place is the National Maritime Museum which I wouldn't visit with a gun because then I'd be banned from visiting the National Maritime Museum and then I wouldn't be able to visit the National Maritime Museum anymore which would be a shame because I love the National Maritime Museum
are we getting the wendys four for four francis? i would like that very much.
Day 131
hell yeah weekend
The Terror really is the wildest fandom to be a part of, there's regular plot updates on a story that ended 150 years ago and sometimes that update is PEGLAR WAS CARRYING HIS OWN JOURNAL, I REPEAT, HENRY PEGLAR WAS CARRYING HIS OWN JOURNAL
Oh uninformed people must think us Franklin expedition people are dumb as fuck, freaking out over GUY found with HARRY PEGLARS notes actually turns out to be, you guessed it, HARRY PEGLAR after only 166 years.
the fact that for 150+ years the owner of the peglar papers has been subject to rigorous debate and it was pretty well acknowledged that it probably wasn’t peglar and now we know with certainty that it was actually peglar the whole time, just wearing someone else’s clothes, is SO FUNNY—

Can we talk about this line though 😭

I made a painting inspired by these quotes but I'm still thinking about them, how James Fitzjames wanted to be seen but actually lived behind masks and how Francis Crozier was the only person who knew who James Fitzjames really was at the end. So it makes for an interesting contradiction that Francis says make him invisible, a part of the landscape about a man who strived to be noticed. But of course it is because he listened to his story and accepted him as he is and not because he was ashamed of James, he wanted to protect him even after death.
James Fitzjameses be upon you!
