His chin lifts and he scratches at his beard as if in thought, eyes wandering away from Nafani for only a moment. “Not one fo’ subtlety, I see.” He says, but there’s an almost playful smirk tugging around his tusks. “Nice ta know even an ‘ol troll like me is still easy on da eyes.”
Nafani took a moment to observe him, those intense pair of golds taking time to appreciate the other for what he was–who he was. “I’ve seen ya as ya used ta be. I see ya as ya are now. Ta be t’inkin’ ya ol’ wouldn’ be so flatterin’ ta myself now eiddah, would et?”
“S’pose dat all depends.” Vol’jin says, straightening his back and rolling one of his shoulders idly. “Age don’ ‘ave ta be a bad t’ing. Especially wit everyt’ing goin’ on around us. If ya still alive, ya be doin’ well.” He then takes a moment to look her over and smiles. “Besides, ya be lookin’ just fine.”
Bwonsamdi has quite a large sphere of influence -- how does he feel about other tribes of trolls, or other races?
Any devoted follower has the approval of Bwonsamdi.

“I can’t say I disagree wit’cha. I be undastandin’ ya concerns along wit da rest ‘o da Horde an’ Alliance alike, but dis be some’tin bigga den all ‘o us. Windrunna was chosen fo’ a reason, a reason we will all know in time.
Dis not be a repeat ‘o da past. Afta every’ting dat has happened I ask fo’ ya trust. I be da same troll I was when Garrosh fell and I ain’t eaga ta be causin’ more unnecessary conflict.“
‘ perhaps she serves as fodder until a more suitable replacement shows their face. regardless, there’s little i can do of it. what do you think of her and genn’s “spat” in stormheim? seems pointless to pit one rabid dog against another.
i know you’ve not changed at all, vol’jin. it gives me hope, that perhaps the bulk of the horde can learn to think as you and baine. ’
“I know very little ‘o deir issues wit one anodda, but what I do know is dis not be da time ta settle scores. Whateva da problem be, it would be bettah left where it is. It was reckless. We need ta be workin’ togetha, we can’t afford ta lose soldiers on eitha side.
Da Horde be good people, Jaina. Dey be ready ta fight for dis world. A world both factions share--- Our champions be ready ta take on da battles ahead alongside your own. It gonna be messy, maybe peace will neva be fully realized, but da Legion gonna force a change... And spirits willin’, dat change gonna be da one we need.”
scrubs wish they could be on this level
my interpretation of good ol’ bwonsamdi, y’all…
the real reason vol’jin just went ahead and died was to attend one of Bwonsamdi’s house parties

‘ fate rarely does, i’ve noticed. and here i am, finding myself simply curious on why you think the loa would chose her over any other in horde leadership. baine would make a suitable choice, were i them, to each their own, i suppose. —– sylvanas is quite… unexpected. ’

“Hmm.. I t’ink ya be well aware ‘o what da Dark Lady be.”
‘ an abomination? heretic? monster? i have many thoughts on what that wretched woman could possibly be. ’

I do hope "darkspear never die" holds true, Vol'jin.
A chuckle rumbles in the troll’s chest and he offers Jaina a smile. “Don’cha worry none… Death be one o’ da Darkspea’s closest friends. We neva truly gone.”
He's in chains, beaten but never broken, standing in the center of a massive arena in Orgrimmar. They call an unfamiliar name, then he hears one he knows. Drakkari. To them, he's just a beast for their champions to kill. He doesn't plan on dying.
It’s not often Vol’jin actually attends the arena fights being as busy as he is. However, today he is in fact present, sunken into his seat with an unforgiving frown chiseled into his features. In reality he hates this sort of violence. It’s often pointless; a waste of good people.
And when they call out a Drakkari, his stomach churns with discomfort at the sight. It hadn’t been long since his own tribe was in chains, battered and beaten just like the troll below. It ignites an anger that, if he weren’t as patient as he is, would have stopped the battle before it even began.
But no- Vol’jin is patient and he is cunning. Stopping the fight would only cause backlash. So he decides should the troll live, perhaps the arrangements of his release could be handled discretely.
Shed quietly snuck around the guards stealthily. Coming up behind the warcheif. A fat lizard contently held in her hands as shed quite carefully placed it atop his head.
As quiet as the other had been, Vol’jin had known of her presence as soon as she entered. His ears moved about gently, listening to her footsteps as she approached. However, despite the intrusion he felt no worry twisting his gut, no instinct telling him to attack.
And in the end he’s glad he didn’t–
As quickly as the lizard is placed on him, it is removed and he turns to look at the other with a disapproving grunt. “Sneakin’ up on da warchief, mm? Dis be yer idea o’ fun?”
Nafani eyes the other troll from head to toe. She then gives a soft grunt of approval.
Amber eyes watch her intently. They do not move from her face, but curiosity narrows his gaze ever so slightly. “What can I do fo’ ya, huntah?”
a messy but happy vol’jin
