👋Hello, Tumblr people! I'm very new to this app!

I go by Walkie, I'm 21 (yes, a full-grown woman!), and I like cartoons. My favorite ones being the nostalgic shows Spongebob Squarepants and Robot & Monster.

Finn, my Spongebob oc

When I first made this character, it wasn't serious at all. It was just for a small mini comic for myself. But then he started to get lore.

I made Finn a while back. Pretty much, it's an AU regarding Inferno Island from Spongebob Squarepants season 5 episode 15a "Inmates of Summer"

Finn was originally a security guard at Glove World, but he was tired of being pushed around my his peers and by dumb kids. He wanted to do something more meaningful. So, he applied to guard at Inferno Island, which was a huge mistake.

Right off the bat, Finn was pushed around and teased by his coworkers. Also, his boss, the warden, was an angry jerk.

Finn developed feelings for the warden, and for a while questioned if it was mutual because the warden sent out so many mixed signals.

Anyway, in the end, the warden and Finn unfortunately don't get together. But oh well. He's happier working elsewhere.

(I NEVER do oil paint, it's one of the medias I suck at and dislike. But I've had a huge pack of unopened oil paints that was gifted to me 4 years ago, so why not just use them)

Robot Default was also drawn on this canvas, but I'm not uploading it because he seriously looks like the brown M&M.

TW: abandoned robots!!

I drew these because thinking about this sort of idea made me feel kinda melancholic. The thought of abandoned robots rusting, paint chipping, and wildlife taking over just made me lock in for a minute.

Robot & Monster is a cartoon that aired in 2012, when I was 7. It's actually very nostalgic for me, and I guess these pieces represent how the show just kinda stopped airing in, what, 2014? And how a majority of the world seemed to forget about its existence. (The robots were abandoned and the world moved on)

Yes, I KNOW that this is a kids' show, but I'm still gonna make fan art that has a deeper meaning😂

The piece with Gart and Arpa was actually my brother's idea. He thought it'd be cool and deep to have an animal living in Arpa's chest cavity.

I did consider making other pieces with other robot characters (I'm not drawing organics like this because that would look disturbing), but I already have a scrapyard, plants taking over, the sea, and repurpose. Eh, that's all I can think of to be honest. Maybe my next idea will be their abandoned apartment? I've been enjoying making these "melancholic" pieces.

Honestly, if anyone has any neat ideas, that would be awesome!!
