I sat through all seven seasons of The Dragon Prince. At first to give it a chance. Then just to be able to hate it with AUTHORITY.

On one hand, love the diversity wins with the gay dads, lesbian queens, sweet trans guy, and badass deaf general.

On the other, what a shitfest of warped, victim-blaming morals and feel-good platitudes. The insecure ass Bathos interrupting sincere moments gave me constant MCU flashbacks.

The humor was insufferable! I'm already out of patience with stock "adorkable" protagonists, then they went and made "adorkable humor" the majority of their comedy. To the point that it often felt like the whole cast was some strange "I'm so quirky" hive mind.

Finally, whatever creepers are infiltrating the production of kids' shows to sneak in their fart fetish BS under the guise of toilet humor... I'll fucking find you.

If you're writing fantasy... don't use Latin as your magic language. That's basic bitch behavior.

Blood on the Ice... Count on Skyrim to try a murder mystery plot and make it the dumbest shit possible. Which depends on everyone (including the player) being absurdly incompetent and making illogical choices. There is not a step of that quest that stands up to A SINGLE follow-up question.

1) If women are being killed and found mutilated in the streets, why can't the guards can't be assed to follow the obvious blood trail DIRECTLY to the killer's secret lair?

2) How has nobody seen the killer repeatedly go in and out of this vacant house, or taking down the fliers warning about him?

3) Why did the killer conveniently leave a journal and his priceless necromantic amulet OUTSIDE of his hidden room behind the false cupboard?

4) Why is selling the amulet, A PIECE OF EVIDENCE, not only portrayed as an okay thing to do that nobody chastises you for, but also THE ONLY WAY TO GET A REWARD FOR THE QUEST?

4) If the red herring court wizard has been monitoring the killings so meticulously that he can accurately predict when and where the next will take place... why has he not passed this information to the Jarl, his steward, or the guard captain?? Why was he sitting in that crucial info until some rando came in accusing him?

We let this game get away with SO MUCH, it's truly unforgivable how atrocious its writing is.

12: What do you like least about this fic?

Where do I even start about this… There are many gramatical errors in the first few chapters, if it wasn’t for the incredible patience of @rebornfromsea and @warmageragnar to read this thing and correct it, there would still be many more. I think it could be better than what it is, but I am doing my best and that’s kinda frustrating. I Dislike the way it takes me so long to get into the grove of it as well… 

15: What did you learn from writing this fic?

That sometimes, characters will make decisions for you. An argument will sprung for what you intended to write as a calm conversation, two characters you never imagined would end up as friends, do exactly that… I learned to look at those and let them flow naturally, but also consider the consequences of them.

I hope I am not wrong about it. XD

My patience for "straight male creator-induced sexual dimophism" and related tropes has been worn down to the nub.

If you're gonna sexualize the female characters so indulgingly, including in ways that run counter to their characterization, have the decency to do the same for the men, and other genders.

But so many mainstream creators refuse to do it, and it's obviously not because "male sexualization would not sell", because we have OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE that it does. It's just that drawing/modeling eroticized men makes them uncomfortable, or they care exclusively about what benefits the demographic THEY belong to.

So often it falls to creators belonging to the alienated demographics to make their own content. And OF COURSE entitled little straight boys will barge in like "HOW DARE YOU". This is tiring.
