24 hours left to sign up!
SIGN UP HERE!
With 30 sign-ups so far, 2026 officially has the most participants of any Wildflowers Exchange yet!
And we've still got another 24 hours to left to sign up!
Sign-ups for Critical Role Summer Wildflowers 2026 will be closing on Saturday, 30th May at 11:59 PM EDT/Sunday, 31st 3:59 AM UTC! Make sure you have submitted your requests and offers before then!
More information on how to sign up here!
Join the Discord server here!
If you miss sign-ups, you will still be able to fill prompts as treats, but you will not receive an assignment and you will not receive anything for yourself.

Like I mentioned below the Jester and Yarnball drawing, some more Moorbounder reunion drawings :))

Sign-ups are now open!
Are you a Critical Role fan writer or artist? Do you enjoy exploring less-commonly-seen characters, pairings, and groups? Do you want to secretly plot a beautiful gift for a fellow fandom member, and get a gift in return? Well:
Sign-ups for Critical Role Summer Wildflowers 2026 are now open!
Sign-ups ask what you want to request, and what you want to offer. Then, you'll get assigned someone to create a gift for, whose request(s) line up with what you've offered. You'll be able to see all their requests, and pick one to make a gift about. At the same time, someone is secretly creating a gift for you, according to your requests! (read the whole FAQ here)
Summer Wildflowers is an event about rarepairs - you'll be requesting and offering from this list of nominated relationships, which spans platonic and familial relationships, romantic/sexual relationships, poly ships, fun and bizarre crossovers, and everything inbetween.
Sign-up here!
Requests (What would you like to receive?)
You can make between 4-10 individual requests. Each request ends up looking like this:
Fill out the form for each request as follows:
Fandom (which campaign category the pairings are from)
Each individual request can only include pairings from one single campaign category.
This should match the campaign category that the relationships have been nominated under, which is visible in the tag set - for instance, Critical Role: Campaign 3 - Bells Hells (Web Series) or Other Exandria, NOT Critical Role: Exandria (Web Series).
Relationships (which pairing or pairings you'd like to receive a gift focusing on)
Only pairings that have been nominated (see here) can be requested.
Nominated pairings that haven't previously been used on the Archive won't autofill - just type them in manually, according to how they're listed on the tag set.
Every request can include between 1-15 different pairings from one campaign category.
Otherwise, group pairings into requests however you'd like.
Only request pairings you want to be the focus of your gift. Please do not tag side pairings, just mention them in the text.
Additional tags (whether you'd like Fic, Art, or Any Additional Tag (ie., either))
Ratings (which of the AO3 ratings you'd be hapy to receive a gift with - General, Teen, Mature, Explicit, or Any) (AO3's guidance on ratings can be read here)
Optional: Other details (the place to put prompts, likes, or a Do Not Want list)
Prompts aren't mandatory, but are encouraged for requests! Creators should treat prompts as general guidance rather than feel the need to follow it to the letter. Broad prompts and themes will give your creator their direction, while specific ideas will be more considered as inspiration. The more prompts you can give for each request, the more likely you'll get something you'll love.
Kink, dark, and otherwise risqué prompts are totally allowed, but make sure to give other options too.
Do Not Want lists are for triggers, squicks, NoTPs, or things that would otherwise spoil your gift. They should not be used to "box" a creator into creating a one specific gift. It's better to be very specific than too broad. (see examples in the FAQ, Q.6)
Optionally, you can include a link to a Dear Critter Letter, which gives you more space to talk about your likes and dislikes, what you enjoy about the characters and relationships you requested, more detailed prompts, etc. The link should be publically accessible.
You can view more request examples from last year here! (Requires AO3 login)
Offers (What would you be willing to create?)
Offers look very similar to requests. You can make between 4-10 offers, each with 1-15 pairings from a single campaign category. Again, only pairings that have been nominated (see here) can be offered, and may not autofill if they haven't been used on the Archive before. You can make multiple offers for the same campaign - handy if you have more than 15 pairings you're comfortable making a gift about from one campaign, or if you're not comfortable writing in every campaign. How you group your pairings into offers is inconsequential for the matching process.
Again, specify in additional tags whether you want to create Art, Fic, or Any (ie. either), and then which ratings you'd be happy to create a gift with.
In the description field, you can write any stipulations about the specific relationships in that offer (eg. you're offering Essek & Verin, but you don't want to write about their childhood, because you don't like writing children). This is optional, since you're not required to follow any prompts specified by your giftee - but it can help us match you with someone you'll enjoy writing for.
You can edit your sign-up until signups close on the 30th May.
What happens then?
Assignments go out on or around 1st June. You'll then create one fanwork based on any of your giftee’s prompts. If your giftee has a prompt that isn’t for a pairing you signed up for, you can fill it anyway! Keep it anonymous!
Additionally, if you’re feeling inspired by other prompts too, you can also create treats for anyone taking part in the exchange! (This is completely optional!)
Assignments are due on the 20th July. If you don't think you'll finish in time, be sure to default by the no-penalty default deadline, 29th June - this gives us time to find a pinch hitter.
On the 27th July, all works become public, including who they were created for, although authors remain anonymous until the 2nd August.
Is there a lower-commitment way to participate?
Yes! As soon as people start signing up, you can browse requests here. Anyone, even if you're not signed up, can create a treat for any of these requests.
You can also watch out for if we need pinch hitters - or join the discord and help beta read or just cheer on the folks who are writing/creating art.
What if I don't have an AO3 login?
Send us a message, and we'll get an AO3 invite out to you right away.
Clarabelle, Yarnball and Jannik <3
(after Valentin Serov's Colts at a Watering Place, which is under the cut, yippee)
All I can offer you this week is this freckled yasha I drew :(
i need more of allura volunteering the mighty nein for shit did they did not ask for (but they'll secretly love it anyways). like a mom signing her kids up for extracurriculars. how when she voluntold them to fight the weave mind (diva) and they did. what are they gonna do? disagree with her?
fjord - maritime navigation conference. specifically about updating exandria's ocean maps and ship trade routes so fewer ships and adventurers fall prey to dragon turtles, evil sea hags and evil snea snake temples. after years of running his and jester's shipping company, fjord has a lot to add.
beau - allura got invited to be on a jury for a trial of a criminal mage. she sends beau in her stead. this is enrichment for beau, who's getting bored without a new case recently. this becomes one of the most efficient and comprehensive mage trials in recent history.
caleb - volunteers caleb for an academic conference focusing on wizarding studies. gives a well-attended seminar on transmutation magic. at the last day, he got into a no magic, fists only brawl with another wizard who dismissed dunamancy as evil crick magic.
veth - allura taught at wildemount wildlings for one summer (and had fun) and immediately picked up on the tax evasion and mob business front that veth is doing. she sends veth to yussa (who is technically a government official) to brush up on nicodranas tax laws. also sends babenon there too. the three of them are not having a fun time.
jester - new art gallery in taldorei looking for artists to display. jester steps up to the challenge and makes so many paintings. one is fjord shirtless. another is a group painting of the mighty nein. one of them is a beautiful painting of allura and kima, as thanks for the recommendation. all of them have a hidden dick/s.
caduceus - to be honest, even allura can't get him to leave the grove. sends him a few event invites but no bites. she just goes to the grove to have tea with cad once in a while. brings kima sometimes. vilya too.
yasha - knows about yasha's gardening hobby and sends her to an agricultural festival. yasha has the time of her life. gets some seeds and plant samples to bring back for her home with beau. eats some flowers she shouldn't but lives to tell the tale. wishes she brought caduceus but she knows that it'd take the world to end to drag him out of the grove again.
essek - therapy <3
Brought into the world to be shamed / Born to exist as she wishes to be

CR Fem Fanwork Fest - wrapup!
I'm absolutely blown away - 42 fanworks in total, over two themeweeks!!! I'm so grateful to everyone who's taken part, even just to share the final works, and I'm so glad that my little event inspired so much beautiful creativity.
A special shoutout to my specialest commenters (@it-is-not-a-fck-castle (SaintOfBurnout), @ireallyamabear (bearperson), @wodestonemanor (stoated) and @chillinglikeashilling), and everyone else who's left lovely comments on the final works - you make events like this worthwhile.
That's it for this event this year! If you're itching for more fandom participation, @cr-summer-wildflowers is a rarepair gift exchange that's coming up soon (totally not biased about this, since I'm also helping run it this year), and @beauyasha-week starts on the 25th (that's three weeks' time)! I'm hoping to run this event again, around the same time next year, scheduling permitting!
(if you have a fandom event you'd like shared around, send it my way!) (I would highly encourage anyone, even if you've never done it before, to give running a fandom event a go! A simple prompt week event like this one is pretty low maintenance, and super rewarding to run <3) (please feel free to steal the concept of this event and run your own version of it if you'd like!!)
Thanks again <3 see you all on the interwebs!
Nominations are open!
Critical Role Summer Wildflowers is a rarepair gift exchange - read the FAQ here!
What is nominating?
Nominating a pairing means it can be requested or offered as the subject of fic or art during sign-ups. If nobody nominates a pairing, nobody can request or offer it! ANYONE can nominate pairings they'd like to see during the exchange! You are not required to nominate in order to later sign up. (Sign-ups open on the 16th May) Nominating is not the same as signing up to participate! For more elaboration on the terminology we will be using during the exchange, refer to this post here!
Where do I nominate?
Nominate here!
This link takes you to the AO3 tag collection for CR Summer Wildflowers 2026. You need to be logged in to nominate. If you don't have an AO3 account, and want to take part in this exchange, send us a message and we can get you an AO3 invite right away.
Who can I nominate?
Any (& or /) relationship of characters from Exandria or Aramán, as long as they're not illegible (over 500 works on AO3, or top 5 pairings for Aramán - view the whole list here). Platonic, polyamorous, and crossover pairings are encouraged!
How do I nominate?
Nominations are done through the 2026 Wildflowers tag set on AO3 (same link as above). You'll be able to see any relationships that have already been approved by expanding the categories. If you have a lot of relationships you are want to request or offer, look through what's already approved! Relationships only need to be nominated by one person to be used by anyone, so if your relationship is already on the list, you don't need to nominate it yourself!
To nominate your relationships, click the nominate button located on the right of the page, which will take you to the Nominations Page!
For the Fandom category, type one of the following: 🌸 Campaign 1 (Vox Machina), which includes The Legend of Vox Machina 🌸 Campaign 2 (Mighty Nein), which includes The Mighty Nein 🌸 Campaign 3 (Bells Hells), which includes ExU: Prime & ExU: Kymal 🌸 Other Exandria - ExU: Calamity, ExU: Divergence, Downfall, Wildemount Wildlings, Darrington Brigade, Re-Slayers Take, etc. 🌸 Campaign 4 (Aramán) 🌸 Critical Crossovers (for pairings from different campaigns that we haven't seen interacting!) Other Exandria and Critical Crossovers are not canon tags on Archive of Our Own, so they will not pop up. Just hit enter after you've typed them in! You will have the option to nominate in each of these categories, but you can choose to nominate in as few as you like.
Now type in your ships! If the tag has been used on existing works, it will pop up as you type. If it's rare enough to be the first use of the tag, just type out the full tag and press enter! You may nominate up to 20 relationships per category, but you can nominate as few as 1. Please only nominate pairings in the appropriate fandom category! If you do not know what category your relationship falls under, refer to the guide in the FAQ (question 3)! There is no consequence to nominating in the wrong category, but your nominations will be approved more quickly if they're in the correct place.
Once you've nominated all your ships, go on and click the Submit button down in the bottom right of the page! If you think of more ships you want to add later, you will be able to add more nominations the same way up until nominations close on 15th May!
That's it! Go forth and let us know which characters and dynamics you'd like to see more focus on in fanworks - whether that's group dynamics, family dynamics, a ship that's often overlooked, a third who you think would be great for a popular ship, your favourite NPCs, or characters that we never got to see meet/interact - but wouldn't it be fun if they did?

Better luck next time, Six
