HEY GUESS WHAT.

I totally revamped the story and characters, they're different kinda the same kinda, now!! I'd say broad-strokes wise, Kevashii and Alpenrose have mostly the same personalities, though Kevs has shifted a bit. I've changed the title, changed the name of the blog, and done some editing, I've got a lot in store for the bois!

Fun fact- Kevashii memorized the grammatical rules of speaking Outsider before they learned how to write it, so they will always write things phonetically. They will also occasionally switch mirrored letters like d and b, and p and q. This is fine for their purposes, they mostly write for themself. However, their writing is a nightmare for Alpenrose, who often has no idea what they were attempting to communicate, lol.

Another fun fact, Outsider is written from left to right, like English, so their book is backwards. Not that it matters, though, all the pages are torn out and stuffed back in in no order 😂

Welcome to Warm Light! This is a writing project I am working on, a fantasy romance book about a human knight named Alpenrose Beaumont (I know, like the chocolate milk. I can't change it now, it fits too well 😂) and Kevashii, a former Hriifandi (a creature of fire and darkness from the world of the Inside).

A little about the characters-

Alpenrose Beaumont: an anxious, repressed knight from a society that highly values conformity and altruism, he hides his intense emotions and sensitivity to better fit what people expect from him as the captain of the Knights of Light, an order focused on protecting the human realm from Hriifandii attacks. What he doesn't know is, He is the Lights chosen Champion, destined to divide the Human realm from the Inside, once and for all, with the help of the Emissary of the Inside, Kevashii. The duties of being captain, and the strain of masking his true personality is a lot for him to carry, and the expectations of everyone around him are starting to badly affect him. Will he pull through on this mission, or will he abandon everything to go live the life of his dreams with his Love? Who knows!

Kevashii: a mischievous, lackadaisical former Hriifandii. They hated their miserable life on the Inside- the realm of darkness, dreams, and fire, where every day is a fight to survive, to exist. So they left, and fled to the human world. They are a compassionate person born to unfortunate circumstances, and are learning how to trust others and become their truest, soft self. Kevashii doesn't know that they are the Emissary of the Inside, chosen to one day seal the two realms away from each other forever with help from the Champion of Light.

Warm Light questions what it means to be good or evil - riffing off of the classic light=good and dark=evil cliches, how it feels to be different from the people around you and finding your place in your community, navigating trauma and neurodiversity, and how to balance what society wants from you with what you want for yourself :3. It is about Balance- finding it in relationships, power, and in the every day little things of life.
