          Born a countess, she was raised to be a proper nobility - think like one, act like one, be like one. She learned all that, but with struggles. Darya didn’t like it. She’d much rather play with swords like her brothers than just sit and look pretty, and as she grew older nothing much changed. She just learned to hide her displeasure better so she wouldn’t get punished for misbehaving. Darya had always liked swordsmanship. She used to sneak out of the manor to watch her brothers practice sword fighting and hand to hand combat. She really much rather enjoyed that than being the pristine countess she was forced to be. It took her years of convincing, but when she was sixteen, her father agreed to let her go through all the same training her brothers did, and she couldn’t be more happier.

          When she was in her early twenties, much to her parents dismay she went through knight training and became one and it was the happiest day of her life. For the last few years she had been very fascinated by them. They could do good, help others and fight off the bad guys - what else could one need? Besides, sometimes being a knight took her on journeys to other places, where she had never been, which was amazing.

          Darya is very loyal and wouldn’t betray nor her friends and family, nor her country. She will fight for those, who she loves, until her dying breath. She is also very adventurous. Darya might not travel far, but she loves seeking adventures, exploring new and unknown things and places, and she might drag others along too.

          As a kid he already said what was on his mind, no sugarcoating, no softening his words. Just the truth. Why lie? It was better if people knew the truth no matter how harsh it was, they could learn from it and better themselves. And that was something his parents couldn’t make him stop doing. At least with age he realized it could hurt people and he learned to control himself. At least for the most part.

          Kai isn’t a noble born, his mother came from an island far, far in the ocean, but his father was a wealthy merchant, making, buying and selling some of the finest cloths in the land. On one of these travels to buy new cloths from other countries, he met Kai’s mother, fell in love and brought her home to the Netherlands. Even though Kai didn’t have noble blood, he was around royalties a lot. Being on good terms with the King, he and Kai’s parents decided to try letting the crown prince and, then five years old, Kai play together. The boys were around the same age, maybe they could end up being friends? And they were right, the boys hit it off well, which later blossomed into a great friendship and in Kai being the new King’s advisor.

          While Kai wouldn’t turn down a good fight or a crazy adventure, it is always Kai who thinks rationally and assesses the situation before making rash decisions. He will think things through and make the best possible decision, that’s why he is a good advisor. That and he knows the King well.
