the termination letter. the devs have since confirmed in one of their Q&As that curly wasn't getting promoted (simply getting a commendation and "exceptional references"), so it's possible this texture is from before that was decided, and they just didn't change the texture because you can't read what it says in the game anyway. besides that, considering that curly is referred to as "curly" here, it's most likely not just a nickname but his actual surname
i also took a look at the textures of the ID card clusters from the last bizarro sequence because i'd heard people say that while anya's card is there, it's always obstructed so you can't see her face, and not only is that true, but her face is always obstructed by jimmy's ID card :)
