We remain mentally ill, in part because this movie has awakened a level of obsession I haven't felt for SO LONG but furiously trying to figure out how to draw the characters in 10 minute intervals here and there is keeping me from turning into the joker

The whole world will be at my fingertips once I finish these drawings of my beautiful knight woman. They'll be finished. Yesssssmhmm

Hgouhg im actually drawing something for the first time in like months. I want to have good and accurately usable armor but at the same time cool so here's the progress on that iittts fucking midnight im so tired tell me what the most egregious part of this armor is I think it'd be funny and educational to know my mistakes other than the obvious with the helmet. They should call me the evil eepster with how dogshit i am at going to bed a t a consistent time

"What a Bitch", ceramic, 5 ¾ inches long 2 ½ inches tall More angles and rambling under the cut!

This took a long time to make, I was running on fumes creativity wise when I started this project and so went with the most obvious iteration of the thing I always turn to for inspiration: horrible menstrual pain and pms! Yaaaay! A vast majority of the ceramic sculptures I've made were conceived and created in the throes of pms-induced depression, which while sucking real bad, benefited from the smooth creative flow of just working through it by working the clay until it came to life in my hands. I'm on a stronger prescription now, which while good for me, has felt like there's some strange void from which my most interesting work used to spring from. So this was a sort of "fuck it, I'll just make it obvious this time" I guess. It feels a little frustrating how on the nose it all is, but at the same time it's satisfying to have made it so loud and angry and obvious. It was fun keeping a close eye on my reference images of mange-inflicted wolves to get the direction of the fur right, the way that I piped on the fur would have looked awful if I hadn't. I think I could have done a lot more to give it volume, but her looking shrunken and diseased was sort of the point.

The other pieces from the raku workshop I attended, since the rex pot got its own post lol

I tried to draw insects and other invertebrates on this one, was for sure a learning experience about how wax should be handled for best results haha

This one I was kind of just fucking around with, was thinking about a painting I made years ago where all these orderly colors dissolved into chaos. A lot of people at the workshop were using this copper penny glaze, but due to some quirk in the firing they were all coming out as this vibrant green color. Was absolutely not expecting the glazes I chose to turn out this way but they worked together brilliantly I think! The matte part was a glaze called oil slick. I think it would have turned out even cooler if I overlapped them just a little more

Had the opportunity to attend a raku workshop this last weekend and came home with some interesting stuff! Drew a T. rex with wax for this one, the glaze was called oxblood.
