tbh on the topic of naruto's repeated hokage thing and how it comes off a bit silly and hollow smtimes ... i think it does also come off that way during the fight against obito LOL. like before they manage to break his mask ... shortly before madara joins them. obito has this like SUUPER dramatic, long monologue, abt how the world does not need heroes, it doesnt even need individuals ... only the fusion of everyone into one single consciousness will bring true happiness ... etc. etc. like it's SOOO dramatic and it should be a bit scary, he's fucking literally summoning the ancient demoniac natural force of all time there (the 10 tails) but naruto's response is like. ummm yeah, but i want to become hokage :) this is my biggest dream, dont u get it! like .... maybe the sentiment is supposed to be smth abt how there actually are still dreams to be realized in THIS world. and it isnt meaningless to keep existing in it (like obito claims). but it still comes off a bit .... stupid? lmao. bc he just keeps repeating this over and over without really responding specifically to what obito is saying there lol. and kakashi & gai also cheer him on? theyre like damnnnn, fucking. Dunk of the century there naruto, good job! like i dont think it's that much of a dunk, actually ... it's just the same nachos re-heated over and over again
