My people. I don’t know why I’m suddenly so bitter and sad, sometimes it just really gets me Okay so I have sorta kinda international background and i have been places and I have seen things. And I have encountered some truly inspirational persons, and I have seen breathtaking sights, and have cried over numerous heartbreaking occasions and just I don’t want to call names and I will not but the amount of hate I get sometimes is really discouraging. And it is not because of the race (yeah I’m Asian chinky whatever), not because I’m female??? (because really I’ve been boxing for so long you don’t wanna mess with me ok), not because of my appearance or tattoos or the fact that I swing both ways??? But because I’m proudly and openly Russian. What the hell? Guys will be all smiles and friendliness and let’s break that cookie together in the name of love and sunshine and the next moment there is YOU ARE RUSSIAN??? OMFG TAKE THAT BACK YOU GUYS ARE LIVING ABOMINATION STAY AWAY FROM ME okay I get it. You and I we’ve got some history. And do you see me trying to erase it? Fuck no. It’s here. Written in blood and tears. But you know what? Here I am too. Born in Russian Federation, holding my Russian passport, and casually sipping on my vodka. Because I love it. I love my country. You might have never seen it, but trust me, it is so so beautiful. It’s so strong, it’s mother Russia and she is one badass lady because after all the shit that men had pulled her through, they had perished but ‘ere she stands. Ever free and competent. Forget about politics! I’m talking people here, I’m talking centuries of history, and art, and legacies you did not know we passed on to the world. There are millions of stories untold, and oh how I wish I could show everyone just how ah-mazing Russia is. Shit fuck my tumblr was never supposed to be personal, I’m just being geeky around here. But listen to me. It is not okay to hate on people because of their colour, or their religion, or who they choose to love, so why you hate me for belonging to my country? In what way have I wronged you? I’m simple Asian Russian, from very deep Siberian republic, and my winters were long, and so were War and Peace and Master and Margarita, and all I want is to travel to every corner of this mesmerising pale blue dot, explore every singly treasure it hides, and then come back to my Siberian snows and high cold sun, and tell someone I hold dear я тебя люблю, and take my kids to train trips, and read them Russian poetry, and introduce them to classic Russian rock, and then we could all go to Saint Peterborough to see алые паруса (google it, its festival and its beautiful), and to cry in front of a TV every 9th of May. I know all the faults there are with my country, you don’t have to point them to me, to shove them down my throat. I study political science for fucks sake. Thank you very much I’m AWARE. But please don’t hate on my country if all you know about it is what the CNN or BBC told you this morning. Just don’t. I will protect it with everything I have.
