Almost forty years after the initial recall of Overwatch a new generation of heroes has stepped up, giving many of the original operatives the chance to retire and make lives for themselves outside of the dangers of mercenary work. While their work for Overwatch brought them together, retirement didn't separate Jesse McCree and Hanzo Shimada; only one force left in the world could do that. As Jesse's bad habits are slowly catching up to him, the two return to Hanamura to take in the sights and make the most of the time they have.

Better late than never! This is a Halloween gift for @watchnotover sorry it took me so dang long! I’ve never drawn anything in this style before, but I decided to try a ‘lineless’ style to avoid some of the hassle of arting in Flash.

The other neat thing about this is that I drew the whole thing on my laptop with a mouse.

Hanzo and Genji both know how to properly dance Kahiko Hula and Kabuki. They utilize the basic steps of each in their battle stances. Genji mainly sticks with Kahiko Hula while Hanzo specializes in Kabuki, thanks to being a retired gym leader.

Once he retired to Alola, Hanzo danced to feel the power of the spirits flow through him and rejuvenate his soul - allows the chants and music to guide his moves. Jesse often gets lost in Hanzo’s rhythm, watching until the chanting and drums die out.

This is part of a Pokemon AU that’s gotten away from me. Hanzo is a retired gym leader who was based in Kanto/Jhoto region. He now enjoys the spirit of Alola while tending to his Pokemon Daycare where he raises dragon-types during the spring and summer to adopt out to new and veteran trainers alike.

Drampa soothing a gym leader who never loses but finally met his match today. Hanzo isn’t used to giving anything but his best, however, it wasn’t enough this time. He’s learning to cope and grow from it.
