“Dude, chill the hell out - I wasn’t about to just bring some RANDOM ASS STRANGER to see Scott without having an idea who you were.” But the name Jackson rings a bell, which means she can lead him to the pack and know she’s not doing something stupid. Lydia’s ex from a while ago, she’s pretty sure. Malia looks him over then grabs out her keys, twirling them in her hand for a moment.

“I can take you to him. There’s more to the story, but maybe he should be the one to tell you, since you know him and all.” That and Malia’s not sure she wants to talk much to this guy. Still, she gets that he’s stressed from nearly getting killed, so she understands.

“Are you okay? Healed alright?”

“I flew in from London.” Jackson’s voice is still sharp, barely containing the resentment and anger he’s feeling from everything going on. “First thing that happens when I get back is being kidnapped by some crazy chick and electrocuted for hours. I’m not going to chill the hell out, I want to kill someone.” In spite of his anger, Jackson finds himself following Malia, trying to figure out who she is and why she seems so protective of Scott. It’s probably another mystery Jackson’ll have to solve later.

“I’m healing fine,” he says, taking a small breath. She’s showing some concern, so he can’t direct all of his anger in her direction. She’s not the one who tortured him, it’s only fair that she get some manner of good manners. “What the hell has been going on in town anyway?” He asks. “From what I’m seeing, everyone decided their mundane lives weren’t good enough anymore.” He scoffs.

    Cosmo hummed, knowing that if he tried to deny it Jackson would pick out the lie easily and he smiled, hands dropping around Jackson’s shoulders as he wet his lips. “Oh yeah? You gonna reward me for keeping my word?”

Jackson hummed in response, pretending to think about it. Of course he wanted to reward Cosmo. He wanted to give Cosmo everything. Jackson was an ass though, and didn’t always want to cave that easily.

“I might,” He said softly, leaning forward to brush his lips against Cosmo’s. “That depends though.”

So --

I am okay with the hug between Jackson and Lydia. I didn’t think I would be, but I am. I didn’t really see anything jy/dia about it, other than two friends reuniting.

I will never be okay with jydia as a ship, and I’m still not okay with je/than. I feel like Jackson could have his romance without being randomly forced into one with no backstory of how they hooked up or whatever.

At least for my Jackson, he fully supports Stiles and Lydia together.  He’s happy that Scott found his place as leader and alpha, and gives his support. He’ll happily work alongside his friends, because that’s who Jackson is. He’s not the selfish child he was in the show’s beginnings, he’s grown up, he’s learned how to survive without money or any other material things.

He’s more mature than he’s ever been in his life, and can redeem himself by allying with Scott, supporting Stydia, and continuing the fight overseas so he can help save other people.

Jackson deserves a lot more credit than the fandom gives him. You’re all giving Theo a chance, so why doesn’t Jackson deserve the same?
