Day 29: History

She had been engaged to Zuko for nearly a month now. Even so-- Katara had been  living in the Fire Nation, even after everything had happened.  --- It was hard for her to get used to.  This decision she thought she had made--- that was the right one, was that Gran was getting sicker.  She was old and in the latest letter from Sokka -- didn’t know how much longer she had to live.  Aang was busy with his new duties as the avatar, and  Toph--- well she was training a new generation of  benders back in the earth kingdom.  Katara had just  told him as they both were waking from a nice night  together. Sure, she could have left in the middle of  the night -- with or with out a note, but this was more  respectful to the both of them--- “Zuko-- Its-- Its not that I don’t want to stay”She said as she looked down. “Gran gran isn’t--- Isn’t doing well and  they don’t ---”She stopped as she went to the window to look out at the city crossing her arms.  Was she doing  the right thing by going.  She knew Zuko, couldn’t leave  the throne right now. Even though it had been only 5 months since his coronation, things were still difficult to try and get everyone to see that there is no quarrel  with the other nations.

Katara’s eyes wandered to that of her brothers.   She and him had another argument.  He thought  she was not being hard enough on Aang. But--- He was just a kid, She was trying her best to teach him.  Teach him what they learned in the North Pole, before the attack.  She had decided that it might be best for her if she took a walk to take a breather for a little.  She had made it to the waterfall that was near by  and had decided to take a swim to calm down. She  always was calmer in water. She guessed it was due to her roots.  After her swim she saw it was almost sun-up and she should be probably be heading back.  Half way there she was walking when she remembered  she had left her necklace on the ground near the  waters edge. That’s when she saw Zuko behind her.  

This -- This was not good.  She turned again but there  were other Fire Nation soldiers behind her.
