Disturbia (2007): After his father is killed in a car accident, things unravel for Kale Brecht and he is placed under house-arrest for punching his Spanish teacher. Having nothing better to do, Kale occupies himself by spying on his neighbors. But one night, he witnesses what appears to be a murder going on in Mr. Turner’s house. Kale becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth behind these murders but, after a few unsettling run-ins with Mr. Turner, it becomes a matter of life and death. And the ominous question: Who is watching whom?
Scream (1996): One year after the death of Sidney Prescott’s mother, two students turn up gutted. When a serial killer appears, Sidney begins to suspect whether her mother’s death and the two new deaths are related. No one is safe, as the killer begins to pick everyone off one by one. Everyone’s a suspect in this case. (The first and my favourite of the Scream series btw!)
Psycho (1960): When a woman is discovered as missing—last seen at the infamous Bates Motel in the desert—her sister and boyfriend visit the place only to find it run by a voyeuristic, taxidermist loner whose possessed by his dead mother and dresses himself up like her, adopting her personality
Carrie (1976): A young, abused and timid 17-year-old girl discovers she has telekinesis, and gets pushed to the limit on the night of her school’s prom by a humiliating prank.
Thinner (1996): A fat Lawyer finds himself growing “Thinner” when an old gypsy man places a hex on him. Now the lawyer must call upon his friends in organized crime to help him persuade the gypsy to lift the curse. Time is running out for the desperate lawyer as he draws closer to his own death, and grows ever thinner.
The Fly (1958): An obsessive scientist invents a matter transporter but suffers horribly when he uses himself as a test subject and a fly gets caught in the machine.
The Den (2013): A young woman studying the habits of webcam chat users from the apparent safety of her apartment witnesses a brutal murder online and is quickly immersed in a nightmare in which she and her loved ones are targeted for the same grisly fate as the first victim.
Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979): Ghoulish Count Dracula lures a naive estate agent to his decaying Transylvanian castle with the promise of easy money. But when he spies a portrait of the man’s beautiful young wife, the vampire becomes obsessed and sets in motion their destruction.
The Birds (1963): A wealthy San Francisco socialite pursues a potential boyfriend to a small Northern California town that slowly takes a turn for the bizarre when birds of all kinds suddenly begin to attack people there in increasing numbers and with increasing viciousness.
Halloween (1978): A psychotic murderer institutionalized since childhood for the murder of his sister, escapes and stalks a bookish adolescent girl and her friends while his doctor chases him through the streets.
The Shining (1980): A man, his son and wife become the winter caretakers of an isolated hotel where the son sees disturbing visions of the hotel’s past using a telepathic gift known as “The Shining”. After being convinced by a waiter’s ghost to “correct” the family, Jack goes completely insane. The only thing that can save Danny and his mother is “The Shining”.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997): Julie, a high school senior goes on a trip with her friends and accidently hit a fisherman. They think he is dead and dump him into the waters. But later they get a strange letter that says “I know what you did last summer.”
The Hand That Rocks The Cradle (1992): After her husband kills himself, an embittered pregnant widow loses her child, and embarks on a mission of vengeance against a woman and her family.
Misery (1990): A famous novelist is “rescued” from a car crash by an obsessed fan.
Trick ‘r Treat (2007): Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband.
Videodrome (1983): A sleazy cable-TV programmer begins to see his life and the future of media spin out of control in a very unusual fashion when he acquires a new kind of programming for his station.
Dark Water (2005): A mother and daughter, still wounded from a bitter custody dispute, hole up in a run-down apartment building. Adding further drama to their plight, they are targeted by the ghost of former resident.
Fear (1996): When Nicole met David; handsome, charming, affectionate, he was everything. It seemed perfect, but soon she sees that David has a darker side. And his adoration turns to obsession, their dream into a nightmare, and her love into fear.

Dr. Giggles (1992): The psychopathic son of a mass-murdering doctor, escapes from his mental institution to seek revenge on the town where his father was caught. The giggling doctor kills his victims with a surgical theme. His goal being to give one of the townfolk a heart transplant.
Anaconda (1997): A National Geographic film crew is taken hostage by an insane hunter, who takes them along on his quest to capture the world’s largest and deadliest snake.
The Candyman (1992): The Candyman, a murderous soul with a hook for a hand, is accidentally summoned to reality by a skeptic grad student researching the monster’s myth.
Sinister (2012): Found footage helps a true-crime novelist realize how and why a family was murdered in his new home, though his discoveries put his entire family in the path of a supernatural entity.
