âMy methods tend to be slightly more physically effective than that.â
âphysically effective? i get the feeling i donât want to know.â
âYou didnât, but I was just clarifying.â
âno need. just tell the teacher next time, make him explain himself. thatâll embarrass him.â
âThat still doesnât give someone the right to touch me.â
âwhen did i imply it did?â
â while iâm sure you have a great personality, weâre in a quiet space. not the time to be obnoxious just because your parents probably donât pay enough attention to you at home and you feel the need to act out about it at school. â
tristan didnât say anything as he watched the unfamiliar girl drag some poor villainâs kid. âironic considering youâre the one making a scene,â he spoke up after a moment or two, voice apathetic as usual.
âA creepy guy sat right across me today and started touching my knee and rubbing circles on my thigh and it freaked me out that much I couldnât move for few seconds. I moved away but he sat close again trying to catch my hand and invited me to sit on his lap⊠Why is it always me that creepy guys pick on?â
âi donât know. youâre pretty? blonde? could be anything, iâm not exactly a mind reader,â tristan replied.
âAs fair as that may be, I think we should give it a chance, donât you?â
âno?â tristan replied with a shrug. âiâm here to graduate and get the hell out again. with the shitty teachers on the island itâd take me years.â
Autie scowled at the boy. âYou want me to just sit here silently and let him run off with my notebook?â she asked, looking around for the boy who had taken her papers just seconds later, but he was nowhere to be found. âGreat,â she muttered under her breath.
âwhy should it be my responsibility? isnât it your notebook?â tristan pointed out, putting one earphone back in and continuing to scrawl on the paper. âiâm sure youâll get over it.â
âJust for that, I think Iâm going to stay right here.â
âarenât you just so bad?â tristan mocked her, rolling his eyes.
âDid you come to use the barre- or are you just watching?? I can scoot over and give you a spot if you want.âÂ
âyou think iâd do ballet?â
Genevieve walked down the hallway, her sketchbook and pencils in hand. She didnât watch where she was going and bumped into someone, papers flying everywhere. âIâI am so sorry,â she said and knelt to the ground.
sighing as he was bumped into, tristan watched as the sheets of paper floated everywhere. it wasnât in his nature to pick them up and it was better off to keep a repuation, so he let the girl do it herself. âyeah, whatever.â
âHey! Give that back. I mean it.â
looking up from his own paper, tristan had liked coming to the library for peace and quiet. but apparently he couldnât even get that here. âwould you keep it down? iâve got work to do.â
âIâm headed to the gardenâ did ya wanna help me plant this??â
âi donât do manual labour. and my mother told me not to bother with flowers that werenât red. said they were ugly.â
âThis isnât going to end wellâ if someone even thinks about pulling some type of prank on me it wonât be a pretty sight. Letâs pray the villains have some sense in them and donât think they can get away with running over us.â
âpranking is for children and imbeciles. what we villains do is much worse, so i wouldnât mistake our evil for games,â tristan warned lightly. âbesides isnât it against your code to talk ill about people.â
Camille hop down from the wall she had been standing on, watching everyone walking in and out of the school. âAuradon, Auradon, Auradon. Letâs see if youâre really all youâre cracked up to be.â
âspoiler alert: itâs not. canât you already tell by the amount of smiling faces and people about to burst into song?â
âIâm going to be late class? Really? I had no idea.â The brunette said sarcastically before rolling eyes and taking a sip of her coffee.
âi really couldnât give a shit if youâre late, but youâre holding the line up. could you move?â
