i really hate doing background so here is a sorry attempt at getting myself to do more background

that aside, this was inspired by hysilen's cn line where she says "depart from my heart" (referring to cerydra)

i don't like it but here it is anyway, completely screwed up the lighting because my dumb ahh didn't think that far ahead and is too unmotivated to fix it

not finished, but i randomly decided to try crossover drawing, cerysilens as mizisua from zombie stage

kinda hate how rendering hysilen's pearls is easier than rendering everything else (especially hair)

i'm aware that it's simply the nature of npc model and part-of-main-cast model but that particular scene of phaguosa speaking to her daughters really adds extra sprinkles into the lore of hysilens being considered "the ocean's favorite child"

fish

for fun and experiments, this is a slightly easier way to add color to drawings i usually leave uncolored but i'm not sure if i like it

wanted to try drawing with less lines so i went immediately into color after sketching, but alas i'm not familiar enough with the character and the process intended so i went back to my old ways, mistake on my dumb ahh's part

for once there is a name to the music (it feels weird to call it my music despite it being mostly my music with a small 4 note progression from hysilen's song) placing the description of it in read more because i think it might be long

"Doux" : very sweet, used to describe wine and champagne

Hysilens, AKA Dux Gladiorum, or Helektra: the demigod of the ocean, associated with the titan of oceans and storms who is also the master of honey brew (some kind of drink that induces intoxication, i know this type of drink is called alcohol, but it was canonically claimed to contain no alcohol)

playing on/with words is something i kind of enjoy doing, but this time it wasn't with meaning or sound but just the spelling of the word itself, basically Dux (Daks) and Doux (Doo)

there is a more feminine version of the word that sounds like the in between of those two (Douce, pronounced Doos), it didn't look like Dux though so it wasn't used

my monkey brain is also really into contrasting concepts so having Doux as the title to a song that isn't sweet in any way, on top of it being for a character whom sweet wouldn't quite be the right word to describe was appealing to me

in the depths of my soul however, i do hope that when the game returns to amphoreus she gets a a "sweeter" story, just to offset whatever the helly the entire planet's tragedy was

in the middle of drawing something for another song, but got real fatigued and ended up drawing a silly lil thing

somewhat inspired by the simple nature of fish that the game hints at, fish are fish and fish will swim towards the light it wants

lately i've been obsessed with another fish lady, undyne was the first for anyone curious

this was supposed to be another one of those one color and different tone type of thing but adding red for extra razzle dazzle was enticing enough to deviate

it also took so long the speedpaint/draw is essentially at 16x speed or some shi

tried to add a background but didn't like any of them, another one of these 1 year after redraws the before image is under the cut

for context this was an au idea i had where momo jirou and kami were either kidnapped by villains or abandoned by ua during the usj incident, from there they became their own band of villains

in the before i did want to do a pose like the one in the now but couldn't pull it off, resorting to the one here instead, recently came across my own drawing again and decided why not try again
