hate hate hate how sites are increasingly trying to make right click saving images impossible. facebook, instagram, reddit (app), pinterest*, etc... all make you jump through hoops just to save an image. can you guys not please. how ddo i make them stop. can we get one of those EU regulations or whatever that makes them all comply, or are we going to have to wait for global socialism for that. ugh

huge fan of the depth of a good purple but another area that draws me is definitely around aquamarine/turquoise/seafoam. you can not go wrong once the green starts getting just a tinge more blue. a gal could certainly do worse than to pull over there and stay a while

it's a little thing but it annoys me that both blue marble and hello world (photos of earth taken from the apollo 17 and artemis II missions respectively) are South pole up but people often crop and rotate them to be the 'correct' orientation. appreciate our beautiful planet in all her directions smh.

I just looked at the “hello, world” picture and it genuinely takes my breath away. I don’t even know how to describe what it’s like being able to see the entire Earth. The way the sunlight catches the atmosphere, the glassy sheen of the swirling clouds, the lights of cities, the way you can see both the northern and southern aurora borealis, etc. But my favorite part might be that it’s just sitting there. This little round bubble, so small in the infinity of space, practically glowing in the inky depth of its surroundings. It loos so fragile and so small and yet we know its firmness and we know its breadth. It just feels like home. It feels like the place we belong, that calls us to return to it. After all we’ve done to pollute and scar it, we’re gifted with this opportunity to look at our mother’s face and it’s still so beautiful. In all the cosmos, in all the billions of trillions of stars and billions of trillions of planets, I can’t imagine anything else as that beckons my weary heart to rest like this pale blue goddess. I can’t stop looking at it.
