DEAR EVAN HANSEN WAS AMAZING
I cried, I laughed, I cringed at Jared âcause high schoolers amirite, and I cried again.
Donât get me wrong, Ben Platt is amazing, but Stephen Christopher Anthonyâs voice has the singing ability of an angel đ and I melted in awe.
All of them were phenomenal and Iâm so glad I went to see this live.
See, it was either this or Hamilton, and while I love Hamilton with all my heart, DEH holds a special place âcause it portrays so much of how I feel in a way that makes it easier to explain to someone, âcause, you know, words fail⊠me.
I got freaking CHILLS when I couldnât cry (âcause dangit, Iâm getting sick and itâs annoying), but all of them were amazing??? âRequiemâ, âYou Will Be Foundâ, âWords Failâ, âSo Big/So Smallâ and the âFinaleâ had me chilled by how amazing it was - like, normally loud music is only when I want to block something out, but their voices shook me to the very core by how strong the emotion was there, and I spent those three hours enjoying my life for a moment.
So thank you, Evan Hansen, for allowing me to have this gift of a feels trip and showing me that I am not alone, even though it seems like it in the world.
