Welcome to Waycest Fest!
Waycest Fest is a semi-regular fandom event. We've taken many forms in the past (prompt memes, bingos, ship weeks, and more), all focused on the creation of new Waycest fanworks. All kinds of fanworks are accepted--the only requirement is that it's Waycest!
Due to the nature of this event, we ask that you be at least 18 years of age to participate.

Sign-ups now open for Waycest Fest Bingo!
If you've never participated in this kind of event before, here are the basics: participants will complete a sign-up form with some basic guidance around what kinds of prompts they do/don't want to receive. Then, each participant will get a randomly generated bingo card with nine prompts, spun up from an extensive list of possibilities, selected at random and in a random order! From there, your goal is simple: create any number of works inspired by the prompts on your board to achieve a horizontal, vertical, diagonal, or blackout bingo.
Here's what you need to know:
Sign up here. Hopefully the form is fairly straightforward, but if you have any questions, please reach out!
Cards will go out on a rolling basis. If it's been a week since you signed up and you haven't heard from a mod yet, feel free to reach out—but please know it might take us a couple days!
Once you get your card, please have a look for any prompts you might want to swap out (maybe DNFs you missed on the form or just something you really don't jive with) and let the mod team know if you'd like to get those prompts re-rolled. However, you only get one re-roll, so choose wisely!
Sign-ups will run until June 30th, on which date posting will also begin—the same day tour kicks back off in Liverpool! Feel free to post your work on Tumblr (tag us!), AO3 in the bingo collection or main Waycest Fest collection, or wherever else you like.
Any kinds of fanwork—fic, podfic, filk, art, mixes, moodboards, gifs, edits, crochet, macrame, interpretive dance—are welcome. However, as always, no participants who are under 18, and no AI whatsoever. Also, feel free to combine prompts however you like. If you think you can get a blackout with just one work, by all means, we'd love to see it!
Waycest Fest Bingo will end and the collection will close on November 30, about a week after MCR wraps up touring in Asia.
Those of you who achieve bingo will receive two prizes: a well-earned sense of pride and mod AKA's very most enthusiastic round of applause.

As you may have predicted based on the results of this poll, we are doing a bingo this year!
The cards will be 3x3, for a total of 9 prompts per card, and there will be three categories of prompts you can opt into: standard prompt list, NSFW, and "dark" (think AO3 archive warnings and common triggers).
Expect signups to open, along with additional info, on May 1. In the mean time, if you have any suggestions or ideas for prompts, feel free to shoot us a DM and we'll add them to the list!

hi! I have a question, is it absolutely positively MANDATORY that I be 18 and over? What if an account doesn't have an age/age group listed, would they still be able to participate?
Hi there--yes, unfortunately we do ask that you be 18 in order to participate. Obviously that is on an honor system, as we can't exactly check IDs, but since Waycest Fest often includes NSFW content, we do ask that minors not participate.

In honor of MCR's upcoming summer tour, welcome to Waycest Fest: On Tour! This is a ship week/fest running from July 5-11, 2025!
SATURDAY, JULY 5: music videos
SUNDAY, JULY 6: beach
MONDAY, JULY 7: basement era/modern era
TUESDAY, JULY 8: horror movies
WEDNESDAY, JULY 9: Danger Days
THURSDAY, JULY 10: fake relationship
FRIDAY, JULY 11: on tour
How does it work? For any given day of the fest, post a fanwork inspired by that day's prompt! That's literally it. There's no "true" or "canon" version/interpretation of the prompts; go absolutely wherever it takes you. We'll reblog works posted to tumblr if you tag us in them; please also consider including them in our ao3 collection!
As always with Waycest Fest, the main focus should be Waycest, but there are no other content restrictions or restrictions on the type of fanwork you create.
