Headcanon that Zachary and Dorian spend a lot of time just holding each other after the book ends (the book, not the story, because theirs is just starting). Holding hands and struggling to let go, leaning against each other and shivering when they part. In the beginning it’s partly because they’re relieved to be together and afraid if they let go the other will vanish and partly because they like the affection, and gradually it shifts to something a little less scared, though the fear returns in nightmares and memories from time to time. Finding chairs big enough to hold them both while reading, shoulders brushing each other, cuddling each other in bed and kissing softly, dozens upon dozens of casual touches…
I just wanted to read more of them being softly tactile is that too much to ask? Do I have to write it?
