i have a feeling this is exactly what will happen. this is still gonna be a jasper episode, except it’s not the emotional episode. what will happen is in the trailer when we saw a sickly looking david (could be the cause of possible absence ?) and quartermaster talking to him. this is qm taking the kids off of david’s hands so he could rest. there’s two ending i believe that could happen. so they go to spooky island for astrology camp and run into jasper, but sadly david isn’t there so the belief of jasper still being alive lives on. this would be so theres the constant algorithm of having a “jasper episode” for the next few seasons, which is kinda drawn out at this point. then at the end it’s the scene in the trailer where david goes “sorry that i’ve been gone, kiddos” or something along the lines of that and now they all jasper but david remains oblivious. the second ending is david gets bored and tired of not being in charge (qm probably made gwen babysit him but david could distract her with fan fiction or trash tv like max in “camp cool kids”) and he escapes the cabin to try follow the kids, but gets messed up along the way like jasper in “jasper dies at the end.” he sees the kids messing around with jasper, and this is an earth shattering moment which leads to the trailer scene with david sitting on the tree stump looking off the cliff. i have a feeling it’ll be the first one and david remains oblivious because that’s what we known his character as, or jasper won’t even show up at all. anyways i’m excited because i think qm and the kids have an interesting dynamic, but i miss david and his absence on the show has been upsetting.
