Songs of Water

Visual and Audio collaboration has always moved me, and having my path in life cross with the career of Songs of Water has been a beautiful education in looking at the world in a new light. Stephen and the SOW family see musical value in objects that aren't commonly considered musical instruments. And it's not because they are looking for pearls; the unconditional nature of their acceptance is because they want the worts and all. The worts give beauty to a wooden toy box turned into a percussion tool, to an ornamental tree turned into a simple xylophone.

I'm so thankful for the last few years spent laughing and learning in community with them. The inspiring nature of what they do and how they live is an important story that I hope they continue to tell for years to come.

Socialtopias | The Best Night Ever

The opportunity to help build a brand vision at its very beginning is rare and exciting, so naturally we were excited to team up with startup nightlife application, Socialtopias. We were brought in to create promotional lifestyle content to announce and supplement the brand’s upcoming launch - content that was undeniably exciting and evocative. Our job was to inspire a potential audience to go out and plan the Best Night Ever and to convince potential partners to sign up and see their business grow with Socialtopias. This led to a suite of nine web tutorial videos for multiple user types, as well. Every aspect, from concept to script to music composition, was lead by our team. The result is cinematic, vibrant and heartfelt.

Prudential Dominoes

Jason and Joey | Andrews, NC

Jason contacted us about filming his wedding to Joey, and we were so thrilled. But we were even more excited to learn that Joey had no idea he was setting all this up! What a lovely surprise for Joey when we showed up the morning of their wedding to capture every detail on film. Jason and Joey were married at the Hawkesdene House in Andrews, NC in a small intimate ceremony with family and friends. They planned the wedding themselves, and every element really reflected both their personalities and love for one another.  You can see pictures of Joey and Jason's gorgeous wedding over on Concept Photography's Blog.

Samaritan's Purse - Cambodia

Samaritan's Purse is a International Relief organization based out of Boone, NC. We've had the pleasure of shooting with them over the last couple of years and absolutely love working with their team. Every job is a new adventure.

This time, I had the opportunity to document SP's work with expectant mothers in remote villages, from basic cooking and hygiene workshops to the building of Maternity Wards at the local Health Centers. The video was part of the 10 Days for M'Dai Campaign which is going on now. 

Cambodia is a beautiful country, it's full of the nicest people you'll ever meet and the food is incredible. While we were there, we were able to experience the busy streets of Phnom Penh, quiet villages in the Kratie Province and breathtaking sights at Angkor Wat.

I was incredibly happy to once again be able to partner with Samaritan's Purse for this trip.

Mia Maria Design

Happy Monday Everyone!  We love it when we can spotlight one of our brides, especially when it involves really beautiful design! You may remember our film for Maria and Jack's mountain wedding that we posted a while back. Maria and her friend Maria (yes, you read that right same name!) have started a beautiful wedding branding and design company called, Mia Maria Design. Their work is absolutely gorgeous, and we wanted to share their new website with all of you!

We partnered with MODE to create visual content for Mattr- a start-up based out of Austin, TX. Mattr is an application that gives personality and brand insights into who's following your brand.
