just like misogynistic jokes and language ultimately do uphold society-wise misogyny, allowing people to use the term "people of color" incorrectly for their convenience or out of ignorance will ultimately contribute to racism. "actual racism" does not start at a civil or criminal level, it stems from and thrives in something as small as dismissive language. please try to use "poc" correctly, it is not that hard to adjust your vocabulary for one word.
